lol people who thinks jobs didn't make mistakes forgets all about antennagate. Apple customers are more loyal than ever, buying more devices than ever. People can cry all they want on an internet forum but you clearly are in the minority. Sorry. Apple under Tim Cook reached more people than Jobs ever did. But it's not a competition. Jobs fingerprints are all over apple.

Antennagate was a media made mountain/molehill. I had one of those phones, and didn't have any problems with it.

Best CEO alive, the results speak for themselves.
Disagree. Anyone could have been at the helm during Apple's recent sales and valuation growth. Jobs had already set the company on this trajectory, and the engineering talent was in place. Tim is a figurehead. CEOs like Jobs and Musk have extraordinary talent and vision. Tim has neither.

I loved Jobs as much as anyone, and he deserves massive credit for saving Apple. But the mythology around the guy is out of control at this point. Jobs was probably the right CEO to save Apple in the early 2000s, but Cook was the right CEO to grow it into what it is today.

I also think people overestimate the pace of innovation under Jobs. iPod in 2001, iPhone in 2007, iPad in 2010. admittedly impressive. But under Cook, Apple has released the watch in 2015 and AirPods in 2016. AS in macs is another huge step forward. Was Apple a little more innovative under Jobs… yes. Was it a huge difference… no.

Apple's products are better than ever, and can always be made even better. This was true ten years ago, and will be true ten years on. There is only one timeline. No one knows what Apple 2021 would have been under Jobs. Anyone claiming another CEO would have been better than Cook is just imagining "innovative" fantasy products that wouldn't have actually existed under anyone. Everyone is free to measure products and companies by their own metrics. For me, the Apple things I use day in and day out bring me as much - or perhaps more - joy than ever before. And there's no doubt that the next decade will be insanely great.

According to the rancid comments section here on MacRumors 10 years ago, Apple should have been closed down by now. Reading through these comments even today you still see the huge anti-Apple crowd here.

It has always amazed me how many Apple haters go out of their way to come troll an Apple-centric website. Is it really that much fun? I don't know...like, I have no desire at all to go to an Android or Windows centric website to **** all over their stories, why would I?

I’m not an Apple hater. But I don’t give Apple a free pass either. And Tim Crook, well, he just stinks (although he is 100% correct about coddled Apple employees getting their butts back in the office. I hope he cuts their pay if they want to stay home, like Google, Twitter, and others are doing).

The Apple Pencil 1 is garbage. A wireless mouse with the charging port on the underbelly side is garbage. A laptop with no ports because it “looks nicer” and is “thinner“ and forces you to use dongles is garbage. And no, sales figures are not an indication of greatness.

My wife the graphic artist loves the Apple Pencil and has created many works with it. Are you passing judgement as an artist who owns and uses one? The mouse, it works fine for me. A laptop with no ports? Really?

Agree except that Musk is a total crackpot. Space X seems to be working out, but he counterbalances that with all his nut bag “loop” crap. And there’s the Tesla self driving killing machines.

Compare Apple Pencil 1 design to Apple Pencil 2. And if you think the current wireless mouse with it’s charging port on the bottom is great design, that’s just incredible. And yes, the laptops with eliminated ports are just STUPID. Now that that idiot Jonny Ive is gone, ports are coming back. Amazing.

Again, the Apple Pencil 1 works great according to my wife who is an artist and has put in tons of hours using it. Are you an artist with work to show?

I could care less how the Apple Mouse charges. What I do care about is how it works when I'm using my computer. It's superb.

What is this Apple laptop that you claim has no ports? I haven't seen that model yet. Or are you exaggerating because, well, that's what you do and resort to when having a discussion with others and can't muster up something better?

I may not have agreed with every design decision Johnny Ives made but ... to call him an idiot? Really? That guy was a trend setter with design - he was a big part of why Apple attracted the masses it did. I was not a fan of the thin as all get out designs but they were still beautiful products. Johnny Ives' awards / Apple's massive customer base reflect that.

To me the definition of “doing well” is by Tims’ bonus. When the company is doing well, so is Tim. And sure you can make money pumping out crap, but Apple pumps out premium products.

Yeah. The Apple Penicl 1 and laptops with reduced ports forcing you to use dongles are “Premium”. Yeah, they’re premium. In PRICE!.

Jonny Ive lost me with his obsession with thinness, most likely projecting his own body image insecurities onto Apple products. That is when he became a moron.

Absolutely. Ive contributed hugely to Apple's success. Those who resort to juvenile characterizations have no idea how Ive played such a large roll in Apple's rise to the top. I'm glad he's still contributing as a consultant.

A lot of people love to bash Tim Cook, but I think he has done a fantastic job leading Apple after Steve Jobs.
He is a great CEO, and I can't think of anyone who could possibly do better than him.

Great drawing! Wondering about the colored version now though..

The Apple Penicl 1 is poor quality industrial design.
