ok

I'm f*cking pissed, I just bought Navigon on Friday because I didn't think tomtom would ever come out!

Damn it!

if you read the forum in the last week or so we knew Tomtom was coming out very shortly. so you jumped the gun and got the Navigon, but for you it probably worked out good. Navigon has more features and is cheaper. also they have already done there 1st update, and you paid half the price tomtom , $121.55 U.S.)

Wake Up.. Time to Buy

Time to throw away ye-ole Navman... although I have noticed my Navman routes are a bit better than Tomtom's ;)

I hope they have improved navigation algorithms...

if you go to 9to5mac the app store for the link is there...but!

don't do what i did and download the £79.99 western europe one as there is a uk one for £59.99. i am sooo stoopid!

My GPS works anywhere no roaming charges and stays in the car. You forgot to mention $99(iPhone)+$169(TomTom) for the package including hardware and software. If you buy the Tom Tom One it's only $99 with USA and Canada maps included. These maps being sold on app store should be no more than $50 anything above that price is a rip-off.
You don't include the price of the iPhone in this price comparison. If you're considering buying the App for the iPhone you probably already have an iPhone in which case the cost of the iPhone becomes negligible. If you don't then you have to consider the price for the iPhone and then the monthly bill (for a 2 year contract) in which case the standalone unit will always be cheaper.

Folks from NZ (UK?), any word on pricing for that cradle?

actually think im wrong...

the 59.99 is for the Unitated States...don't see a way to get just the uk one other than paying £79.99 for western europe

Don't see it either

Hmm...anyone got a link to the itunes UK store listing it?

Searched for tom*.* ...you name it

I bought a copy of "Ride the wild tomtom" by the dB's for 7.99 - crap at navigating, catchy tunes though :)

might because

Which normally gets pointed out far quicker than 9 mins!

it's on the front page! of MR plus already discussed else where! ;) besides people were busy talking about getting MMS and sueing Apple and AT&T!. :p your complaining now that nobody pointed out a duplicate thread sooner then 9 minutes now that's funny!

TomTom Western Europe costs 99 EUR in the Dutch store. A real dealbreaker for me, especially because Navigon is a lot cheaper and has maps for all European countries.

LMAO!!!

I like the way it say's 'Turn by Turn car navigation for the iPhone is here'! hahaha, yeah just about a month late though. I really have to say I'm soooo glad I got Co-Pilot instead but for me I will use it so little it's all I really need. I can see people paying for TomTom if they use it every day.

LOL...so true - I've tried them all Sygic, Navigon, iGo, CoPilot....

I've spent more money on petrol trying them out than buying them...I really must get a life....

Is there such a thing as iPhone GPS App obsession?

I told the wife that TomTom was being released today - she hid the credit card.

BTW - She's tried them all as well - she votes Navigon most user friendly, hated Copilot. I'll stick with Sygic until I discover where the credit card is

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

Hm, tempting at that price, may see what the cradle costs.
