Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

Just reserved a space gray 6 128gb t-mo to give it a try as my DH is thinking he wants one. Didn't see any + available at this hour in either austin, dallas or houston.

Keep checking the site throughout the day and every night, they are going to be getting shipments like this for awhile.
 
what can i do if att wont let me cancel my preorder. I tryed to cancel myself but it was rejected and on the chat they arent able to cancel. I found the device at an apple store near me. This sucks.....

Nothing you can do unfortunately. :( Do you have another line on your account upgrade eligible? Can you open another line?

Add another line to your account and you should be able to put your current SIM in the new phone. You'll have to pay for that other line but you should be able to eventually cancel it and pay the ETF.
 
My pre-order from AT&T didn't say it couldn't be cancelled, but I still don't have my upgrade back and now the order status has a grey cancel button. Does this mean I can't cancel and the original request was denied? It's a Premiere order if that matters. Local store has the plus I want, AT&T's date is still 2+ weeks out for me, so I'd much rather get it today.
 
I was able to reserve a 64GB + in space gray in Towson, MD this morning. I wanted the silver but I am willing to settle for gray, not willing to drive 2 hours up to Cherry Hill, NJ just for a different color.

Anyone know how long it should take to get the pick up confirmation email? I've been waiting almost an hour. Do they send them before the store opens?
 
Thanks to this thread and folks for the tip. I have a 6+ waiting for me at the apple store. Was originally going to have to wait until October 20th to have it shipped.

so i add the line, switch sim cards, receive iphone i dont want and cancel that line..how much money would i lose doin this
 
if you are trying to upgrade to att next plan how can I do it at the apple store online? It will not give me that option to do? Do I have to go to the apple store or att in order to do this

so much better than a mid oct shipping date - :D:D:D

I was able to get a pair of 16GB 6s in space gray for pickup here in Charleston, SC.

I believe they will likely send confirmation sometime either right before opening/after opening. Think about it, a human has to receive the in-store pickup order and likely verify stock.

They did say online that they are usually ready for pickup within one hour of ordering. However, the stores aren't open yet.

I have a question of my own. I talked to a chat person but I don't know if you can trust them.

I used a credit card to pay for the phones but am hoping to "return" them in-store and use a gift card from trade ins of our iPhone 5s. This shouldn't be a problem right?

I think so. Yesterday when I was playing online, it had a button to click that said something like "show full retail." The full retail then appeared as an option.

I don't think that will work because if you add a line, and switch the sim card and then you want to cancel that line you just opened, you will need to return the phone.

Just be patience and wait for it to arrive. I'm not sure why you can't cancel your preorder. I was able to yesterday and decide to stand in line. If your order status still said processing item, you should have been able to cancel. But if it was at the preparing for shipment you won't be able to cancel the order.

If you are trying to upgrade your existing line to a AT&T Next, you can do it online (but you won't have the pick up option). You can go to the Apple store and they can do AT&T Next, but they can't do an upgrade if you are already on a Next plan on a different phone.
 
So, for those who were successful tonight, what time (and what time zone) did the store work for you? Just cancelled my pre-order for mid Oct and going to try tonight

The problem is you can't just go to the Apple store without doing the store pickup option because they'll all be gone.
 
I'm beginning to think that there is more stock flowing thru the pipeline on 6+'s than originally hyped, if we are all getting a bit lucky around the country like this a day after launch......:cool::cool:

Well I guess it depends on what model and size you are going for. I'm sure there will still be 16 GB available.

Even if you go today to the Apple store and there is a line, I wonder if they will do the reservation pass like they did on the launch day.
 
What time are apple stores opening today? 8am local time or back to their regular hours?

I was able to get a 64gb 6+ on reserve. About 5am local I received a text that I will need a new sim from AT&T to "experience all features" of the phone (thought that was strange).

Now I am just hoping that my reservation on a 2 year can be converted to AT&T Next in the store. I am not currently on next but given that it will save me $150 over a 24 month period because of the lower per line fee on family share ($15 vs $40), it's worth making the move.
