I'm gonna stay awake another hour in hopes of more becoming available. How does this even work anyway?
Are there magical elves who just scan them from the North Pole and they start showing up in random stores near my zip code???

If it says unavailable on the site right now at a particular store, is there no way I have a shot at walking in when they open and getting one? (referring to 64gb T-Mobile 6 Plus)

If you walk in, there's not going to be a chance of picking one up. I would check again tomorrow morning, 2 hrs if you can set an alarm. Consider a road trip to a further store if that is an option. They should do this again tomorrow night or in a few days if they wait for the next shipment. Be patient and do it this way.

I hope you're wrong. I reserved one at 2 different stores hoping at least one could. Cancelled my pre-order. If they can't, ill just pre-order the Note 4 and forget all this mess. Not worth the trouble.

The Apple stores will have AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile employees there dressed in black shirts with the corresponding logos on them. They can actually help you with your upgrade there.

Finally was able to pull the trigger here in Vegas on the 64Gb 6 for Tmobile. I am overjoyed! Can't wait to slide in my AT&T SIM.

Good bye ****** S4 battery life!

I suggest you cover your order number or someone will cancel your pre-order. :D Just letting you know.

Posted this on a different topic.but if they don't let me do next, then I will go into contract and pay my early termination fee . ....now if that strategy will work? That's an entirely different question

I'm gonna stay awake for another hour in case there's some kind of update at 2am PST..... but then im calling it a night. Settling for a 16gb Plus at the moment. Contemplating canceling the order though, so if anyone's in Dallas area, let me know if you want it lol

They seem to differ. The guys stocking do the scanning and the computers start pushing the updates to apple at around midnight pacific. It started working for all of US at then, despite support saying local time. Apparently some stores were still inventorying so they went back and forth. I would check different color options as well. Good luck, you'll get one sooner than you'd think.

Thanks for The response. I cancelled my att preorder via the website and was able to order at upgrade price with apple for instore pickup today!

Congrats! Just a tip: If you print out the confirmation email with the square QR/Bar code, it will speed up your pick-up process a lot faster. They will only have to scan it to pull up your order, without having to unput your order number and ask for your ID to verify it.

I agree, check color options and GB sizes, don't wait for an AT&T order.

Just snagged a 128gb 6 plus for store pickup! Wouldn't have thought to even check without this thread. Thank you OP!!

Looks like all of my area is sold out of the +'s finally. You may want to call it a night and get up early to check once more. Don't stay up for this one. Inventory should be done for the night.

Gotcha thanks. I hear there will be shipments every day. I wonder if we can expect this same time frame tomorrow night, sunday night and so on? If so, I'm gonna keep my eyes open!

Apple's retail stores get what are called "drop shipments" The workers do not know how many they get or when they get them. They just arrive as soon as possible. They log inventory as the drop shipment arrives. The shipment times are random.

Just placed an order for an iPhone 6 plus 64GB AT&T Space Gray. In store pickup supposedly available today for 9/20. SF Bay Area. AT&T Next not used, wasn't allowed. Will post details later if it goes through.

Thanks OP!

Still waiting for second email from apple store. Does anyone know if I can trade in my I5 during this reserve order purchase toward the 6+?

If you get a second email confirming your order, then your order went through. keep an eye out for that.

You will not be able to. They will not allow pre-order purchases to make adjustments to your order that will require swiping your card to add or subtract a balance. The reason for this is so that the lines at the stores will be processed at a more faster pace.

What about use toward AppleCare? I didn't include it on the order.

Tonight 1am order online for in store pickup Saturday

My Apple Store in Tx shows all 6s available for store pick up today, even some 6 plus

Awesome tip! I appreciate it!

I think the best part of this is the wife is sleeping and has no idea we're taking a road trip tomorrow to pickup our phones. She was disappointed we never got tracking numbers from AT&T despite preordering at 3:15 am est on 9/12.

You can do it over the phone or in store after 24 hours. Just a tip, if you call apple customer service and tell them that you weren't able to add apple care to your pre-order, they might give you a free case of your choice as compensation for inconvenience ;)

You are very welcome! I'm sure she will be happy tomorrow :)

Ok I was finally able to get around the issues I was having for one of my 2 phones by just adding a line but it won't let me add another until my first is activated. Any ideas on how to get around this. I'm just gonna get them then sell my first 2 lines phones to pay 2 ETF's Really want to get the second sorted so I can sleep.

Sell the road trip as something else if she's excited about the iPhone 6. Take her out for a meal or something before hand or go see something near the store.

the 6s are really easy to come by. Unfortunately, the 64gb 6 Plus is pretty difficult still. They sold out in minutes of going live tonight.

That was the one I was able to get. Hoping to be able to swipe a 128GB tonight too. But Carrier blew up so I had to add a line and can't figure the fix out :(
