I have never stopped to think about how many people I pass each day who might have a loaded weapon hidden somewhere on their body. It's kind of naive for me to not wonder now that I think about it.
Now a question for all of the firearm toting individuals:
Not that I knock it at all, but what's the reason for carrying a weapon? Is it for your job? Do you live in an area where you do feel threatened on a daily basis? Is it for the reason the bill of rights intends, for you to rise up against the government if need be? Something else?
Let me know. Not that I want to turn this thread into a gun debate, I'm in no way trying to demoralize your way of life, I'm just curious and looking to be enlightened on other people's ways of thinking.
Pocket knives can be considered to be utilities/tools... Can't say the same about handguns though.
After seeing this thread I am surprised I have not been shot yet. I used to live in East LA and I'd hear gun shots through out the night. Maybe it's time for me to get a 9 and a CPL. Or maybe I'll just carry that white flag with me.

I am just wondering if people who are carrying handguns are bringing them out EVERY time. Somehow I highly doubt that. Carry a gun to a movie? Carry a gun to on a first date? Carry a gun to school?

Really? Because I carry my handgun everywhere, if I leave my house, even to take out the trash, chances are I have it. And before you say it, no I'm not a paranoid person, a drug dealer, and I don't have any enemies, BUT I would rather have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
You may laugh and make fun of us who do choose to carry a handgun, but I sure hope that you're never in a position that you wish you had one.

I'm glad most firearms are restricted in this country... especially handguns. Cite cultural differences, but I don't see why a normal person would feel the need to always carry one. Oh, its also illegal to carry a switchblade type knife here too, though going by blade-length it's ok to carry a katana... I guess that'd be hard to hide.

Wouldn't it suck to carry it all the time, and then not take it to the movie theater, or on your first date, and end up in a situation where you end up needing it?
Have you ever seen Batman Begins? What happens behind the theatre?
Eventually you'll want to upgrade to these. Just sayin
