Yes, but I think and will be sure that it is a problem and bug of ios 18.0.1!

It existed long ago , when phone was relesed.
So , no , 18.0.1 was supposed to fix that , but it didnt.
Will it ever , we all dont know.
Is it hardware or a software thing we also dont know.
So that is about it.
Fiest it was said that its palm algorytham thing , trigered somehow by camera button , but we dont know.
For 20 days , we are olaying guessing here.
There are gys here who took of and then returned 20 screen protectors , just to see what is going on.

You have it all here . All efort from all guys here , so read all , take your time . And then at the end you will have to make your desision by yourself , to see will you hold on for device , or return it , or just exchange it....

I was saying since the poster seems to have upgraded to 18.0.1 and also followed these steps he or she still having issues. Time is of essence. Usually 14 days in some countries to return and rebuy.

I never use a case or screen protector so can’t help you there. To me screen protectors just ruin the experience of having a flagship phone with a beautiful screen. To each his own tho…

Yeah I’ve learned to wait a few weeks after launch before buying. I’ll let others be the beta testers.

So small update from my side is that I changed my screen protector from ESR Armorite to Caseology. ESR was horrible!!!

I genuinely feel a huge difference. It does not miss like it was doing before, it is similar to using without the screen protector and the size of the tempered glass is also marginally bigger than the screen to not show any rainbow effects.

I am living in a country where there is no return policy. So trying to find the best way to live with this nightmare.
