Based on everything I am hearing and seeing I don't think Apple has a clue what to do about this problem. I was hoping Beta 6 that just was released was the cure all, but it's not for me. Question now is, what do I do when I don't see a possible resolution in the future.

The biggest issue is is apple aware that this issue still exist , because , fisrt time when they put an update there were 100000 thousadn people saying the same thing.
Now, we are like couple of morons , exchanging our opinions

Nobody gets me seriosly , and I am serious.
Sooooo , I said , make a noise.
Now , at the best , they will offfer us like screen replacement , or something like that , that involves opening my brand new phone

I said this before, I went to Verizon and went on every iPhone 16 model that was on display and with what you are showing in this video, there was absolutely zero fluency on the slider. It was choppy is the best way I can describe it.
You did a good job , at least we know that slider test is bulls..t

I have a question to ask, which is sparking my curiosity. How long does Apple get to test these phones before they are released to the public? I am having a difficult time pondering why quality control didn't pick up on this when it was an issue right out of the box. Can anyone answer this?

I dont know exact answer , but I know that they said that they wont do phones like this no more , like ocbober and so on.
From now on they will relese phones when they are sure that it works good.
Like , they were on a dead line , and to make that dead line , they relesed pro max 16.
Another reason why I think its a sofware issue, because I think that they would discover hardware issue by now

Pro max 16 , other than standby battery drain, and poor screen sensitivity is a great device.
Dont know what to say or think other than what I just said and do

So, here is my dilemma with this lack of response with the touch screen on my iPhone 16 PM. Mine appears to be an intermittent problem, if I leave my hand by the camera button area and typed with my other hand or execute anything it works flawlessly, but leave it there for a period of time and I get an iPhone screen that you tap until the cows jump over the moon, meaning, no response to my taps. I would have to sit with an Apple Support Specialist until it happens, and frankly, I don't think neither of us have the time to do that.

Alright, I think I found a solution that works for now. You don’t have to completely disable the Camera Control button, only the light press and swipe options. To me, this confirms that this is a software issue, because the problem just disappears with this fix.

I also performed the Tinder test (tapping / swiping to the next photo / profile dozens of times) and it now works 100% of the time. Before the fix, it worked about 33%.

What iOS version are you on? My menu looks slightly different than yours. I don’t see the Swipe setting on mine.

I’ve been running the latest beta, and while it’s definitely a massive improvement, there’s still some lag when typing. I have to slow down a bit, though it’s not nearly as bad as before this beta. Any previous betas made my phone almost unusable when typing, it was terrible. That said, the lag persists. What’s surprising is that right after installing the latest beta, the issue seemed resolved, but after a few days, it’s been getting worse. Or maybe I was just excited to see any improvement since earlier betas were so awful. Now I’m unsure whether to keep this one or return again. I’ve still got 8 days to decide.

Yeah i know about this. It makes keyboard response better and faster
The lag still persists, though. Scrolling on Safari isn’t as instantaneous as it normally is. I use my iPhone mostly with my left hand and at least one finger is near the camera button most of the time.

I have an idea.
How about that you all record that lag that you have , so that rest of us can see what is going on?

OMG! I just shut off the entire Camera Control, for I really don't care about the camera as much as I do about functionality. This for me so far had a pronounce effect on the touch screen issue. To early to be rejoicing. I will post on my outcome.

That could be the problem. For right-handed ppl there’s contact with the camera control and it’s probably designed to ignore screen inputs.

Can you do a left-handed test with camera control still enabled?

I tried to find some screen protectors on sale for the 16 Pro Max, something that covers the entire screen and doesn’t cause a rainbow effect and nothing.

Has anyone else found anything that covers the entire screen up to the bezels? I’m not looking to paying more than $10 neither on a thin piece of glass neither.
