Why would I want to use 2 hands to use my phone?
That isn't very efficient.

Can't drive and text.
Can't carry stuff while using the phone.
Can't hold onto railing on public transportation and use phone.

1 hand operation >>> 2 hand operation.
If I am going to use 2 hands I might as well use an iPad.

While I agree you really shouldn't text and drive. I got rear ended a couple years ago because some dumb girl wasn't paying attention and was texting, didn't even notice the light was red.

----------

Multi-touch is nice to have when I used two hands.

What's also nice to have is the ability to use my phone with one hand.

BOTH are important to ME as well as others.

He can't be reasoned with. It's his decision if he wants a phablet.

A) Because that's not all you said
B) Because being "too" small is a matter of opinion, not fact

A) Since that's all I said that's all I said.
B) Being the smallest screen of any major smartphone is a fact.

Nothing you have shown indicates illogic or inflammatory remarks. The fact is, the iPhone screens are too small.

I don't mind if he want's a phablet, that's his prerogative. I care about the attitude and inflamatory statements he makes in his posts. They are illogical and not necessary.

Apparently you have a short memory and/or can't read. Go read your post again, it's a lot longer than what you just said

Read what I said again, being "too" small is NOT a fact

A 4 inch 16:9 screen was good.......3 years ago.

COMPLETELY illogical. What changed in 3 years that made larger screens more a fit for 2012? Did my hands grow? Nope.

Edit: I'm done...welcome to ignore.

I think this should end. Could argue to 200 pages and at the end of the day, you still would want to do your own research and make your own decision. End it here while there's no bloodshed.

Why would you drive and text anyways?

Uh oh, god forbid you have to put something you're carrying down for 5 seconds, or you know, finish carrying it to where it's going, then use your phone.

False, I use two hands on public transportation, it's called balance, also, if it has vertical poles, you can wrap your arm around it and use two hands and you'll be stable.

Huh, I can use multitouch with my thumb an pointer finger.

Not saying that I never use two fingers but it is far more efficient when I can use one had to do 99% of needed operations.

I'm so swayed by his logical arguments I just placed an order for a gs3 of my own!!!

What changed in 3 years that made a 4 inch screen better than a 3.5 inch screen? The Holy word of Steve Jobs?

Don't act like one handed operation is never helpful. I agree with the driving and texting, but when I'm on the way out the door and don't have the ability to set down everything in my hands but need to text my buddy that I'm on my way to pick him up, it's nice to use one hand to send him a text. Even nicer when I use Siri to do it.

I have a iPhone 5, Galaxy S III, and Lumia 900.

I love each of these devices, but from day to day use, the iPhone feels best in the hand. Of course the big screen the Galaxy is great, but in-hand it's big.

Here a fact I have owned both and bottom line it's a matter of choice.. Who gives a flying fluke...

I left the s3 and the s2... Both nice phones, but never comfortable in my pocket or hip... Best android yet, but never really liked it.

I have enjoyed the iPhone and its use as well as purpose. Bottom line it works the way I want it to work...

So if you are not happy go have sex with the ore phone it's simple as that... Your point is really pathetic.... Now being your troll if you have more to say...

I tried the iPhone 5 in a store and wasn't impressed at all.

• I have an iPhone 4
• Saw the phone, didn't recognize it was a iPhone 5, but thought could be
• Looked at its back and confirmed, was an iPhone 5
• Extended screen was really noticeable to me
• Switched it on, played 5 Seconds with it and lost interest.

As an iPhone 4 user there are functions that makes me wanting to buy the iPhone 5. I want something new, the iPhone 5 has nothing new. I don't need LTE, don't bother about the longer screen. Nothing in it for me.

While I don't agree with all you said, you stated it in a way I can respect. Much better than the OP. thank you.

Whatever, I am over it.
The screen size of the GS3 doesn't work for me.

I concur it's not for everybody for a bunch of different reasons. I personally like it and will update from my 4s to the 5 for a bunch of my own reasons.

Happy days.

I love how my "cool story, bro" comment gets removed when in fact this post should be removed. How many other threads get started like this that are just pages of bickering about screen size and other matters of PERSONAL opinion. This had no technical arguments or even a question. But the fact that I, like many others, are tired of these stupid threads, warrants the removal of my comment.

This is LITERALLY a cool story. Glad this kid made the hardest decision of his life and went with a android, but this is like posting on a Red Sox forum that their beer and chicken scandal appalled you so much that you are now a Yankees fan. And go ahead and remove this post too. macrumors is basically a tumblr of mac blogs.

I got a message from a mod because I called someone a troll...as the person was clearly a troll

What's with everybody wanting huge screens on their phone? I mean it's a cell phone that goes in your pocket not a tablet-phone-big screen tv all in one that you need a little red wagon to pull

Very interesting discussion guys with valid points on both sides of the fence.

Can't we just agree to disagree on this and move on as adults. ;)

Lot's of typo's; curious - did you type this post with Sammy or the iphone?

Sammy, was just too big to hold so the more typing I do the more my hands started cramping, now the iPhone 5 fits perfect in the hand as you can tell from this typing, but thanks for pointing that out to me...lol
