For some reason, I can't update to beta 5 and I'm stuck on beta 4.

I've got beta updates on, restarted several times and signed in and out of iCloud with no update.

Did I miss something in not getting the update to pull down?

The Beta 5 update seems to have knocked out my 5.1 audio. I run the ATV4K into an LG 65B7V via Belkin HDMI (high speed bought from Apple), then optical out to a Sonos PlayBar and 5.1 setup. All worked fine prior to this update, but now I am missing the centre and rear channels. This is the case with iTunes content, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Only solution is to select Stereo for the audio option. Very frustrating. I filed a bug report through my Apple Developer account.

It’s more likely an issue with the tv. It happens randomly with my c7. Lots of people have experienced this problem and lg has not bothered fixing it. Unplug your tv for a minute and plug it back in. Should get the full 5.1 back

Thanks, I will give that a try. First time I have encountered this issue since I bought the ATV4K on launch release day.

Follow up: Thanks again for the tip vask. I power cycled both the LG TV and ATV4K and 5.1 audio is back. If the problem recurs I will try a power cycle of just the LG TV, which will confirm the problem is the TV (based on your advice I am already pretty certain that must be it).

Oh no, what did they do with HomeKit?

Ow, hope I didn't spook you. HomeKit is still up and running, but in Beta 1 & 2 the Apple TV was also available in the Home app and AirPlay 2 was available. Since Beta 3 the Apple TV has disappeared again and AirPlay 2 was removed again... :-(

Beta 6 played not nice until a reboot on my system (both apple 4 and 4k). I strongly suggest after the install that you reboot it. I had frame rate switching and resolution switching happening constantly.

On a related note the colours have changed a large amount. Deeper blacks and a change in gamma as well as deeper blues and reds.

No complaints on the picture changes.

What's new in 11.4? Is it worth to update? I am still regretting updating by mistake to 11.3 beta. I loved be 11.2.5!!

For example, is the audio passthrough still broken in 11.4? Any improvement on HDR?

Ever since updating to 11.4, I’m unable to stream audio to my AirPort Express. When doing audio via iPhone > Apple TV > AirPort, it disconnects when I start playing something. When I play video via Apple TV > AirPort, the audio says it’s AirPlaying and the AirPort is selected, but no sound comes through. Tried restarting and a couple other things, but always the same results.

I can’t adjust the volume of my AirPods connected to the Apple TV with the Siri Remote anymore and this is literally the only way to do so.

Running tvOS 11.4

Same here, it’s super annoying. I figured out if you reboot the Apple TV you can press the volume button -once- so it’s your choice up or down. Even then it jumps way up or way down.

So now I’ve switched to Beats X until the next beta is released..

Actually, I can AirPlay audio to my AirPort Express if the Apple TV is the only device in question. If I try doing iPhone > Apple TV > AirPort, it disconnects my iPhone from the Apple TV. If I try using the 3rd party program, Beamer, to AirPlay video to my Apple TV, audio won't send, but it'll still say it's connected and I'm able to turn the volume up and down. Hopefully the iPhone > ATV > AE issue is fixed and it also happens to fix the Beamer issue so they don't have to do any updates on their end.
