At leasthahahah hence forth it will be known as "The platform formerly known as Twitter"
Board represents shareholders, maximizing their investment, and given the ridiculously high valuation offered by Musk, would have invited lawsuits if they hadn’t sold.I never figured we'd ever get to see what happens when you give a total manchild full control of one of the largest social media platforms, yet here we are.
I don't just blame Elon; I also blame the Twitter board for forcing the sale. Elon wanted to back out of the transaction but the board insisted. The blame is shared by both.
Freaking greedy idiots. Twitter had its faults but now it's a total mess. I hope lessons were learned from this. I doubt it.
It wasn’t always a cesspit but sadly it has become so more rapidly over the last year in my experience. On the one hand, it’s kind of funny to see somebody piss away $44B by totally destroying the cesspit that was Twitter.
On the other hand, I have none of the money, power or influence of a man who, despite all evidence to the contrary, seems to have the ability to come out on top. Therefore, I’m probably very wrong.
Agreed. For me, they can call it whatever they want, it’s been going downhill rapidly in the last year anyway.
I’ll keep using, it albeit in a slightly more limited capacity, until I become one of the last few. Like those folk who clung on to audio tapes in the 2000s almost like a badge of honour.
You watch 'em, we make 'em. Enjoy!I rarely use it but sometimes like watching funny 𝕏 videos
IMO, Twitter was already a sinking ship— this was their get-out-of-jail-free card, and the board knew it. Probably the best case scenario for them.I never figured we'd ever get to see what happens when you give a total manchild full control of one of the largest social media platforms, yet here we are.

No updates in 9 months... Maybe he forgot that there's a Mac app. How much do you wanna bet that he just removes the Mac app all together.View attachment 2239688FWIW, the company is so stupid as they even forgot to change the Mac app name to X. Well it did not receive any updates anyway 😭😭😭 #sleepwell
Yeah pissing away 44B is a lot of money... but for someone with a net worth of 240B and growing... It's not as horrible as it seems to us common folk. He'll still have enough money to do whatever the hell he wants with and the next 10-15 generations of his offspring after him will be all set off his fortune and companies. On the one hand, it’s kind of funny to see somebody piss away $44B by totally destroying the cesspit that was Twitter.

They don’t have the manpower. They can barely keep the servers running. And they don’t even have people to manage facilities issues like pulling permits etc. What a mess of a rollout. The site is still a huge inconsistent mess of legacy Twitter branding and the new X branding.
They should've at least changed the design and tint of the whole site before launching.
My god, it's a name change and logo change - the same people are on there and the same conversations are still being held. All this drama over nothing...
Pretty sure the line “you’re not blazing up in here, wastoid!” is from the original Breakfast Club. It's only "curious" if you don't understand drug culture & drug references.. And while some might equate this to weed, it's definitely something someone would say after many nights of no sleep and lots of "white powder".
Just keep calling it Twitter. I still say Facebook whether I am referring to the company or the site.
