Two-Tone MacBooks and a Questionable MacBook Video

Well I for one am very excited about the prospect of two-tone laptops. That 'Beauty meets beastly power' image is extremely sexy, with the black plastic lid and aluminium bottom.
Also, just imagine if there's a whole range of colours ala the new iPod nano - these things will sell like absolute wildfire. Yellow laptop? Sign me up!

I have class from 0800 to 1430 on the 14th. Then another class from 1800 to 2100. My mind will be mush the entire time because I will have only one thing on my mind...
I'll be the little miniature jobs devil in this scenario and tell you to skip class..

The whole purpose of the iBook and PowerBook was to have two different machines to appeal to two different audiences. If the new MacBook becomes aluminum and there is no huge difference on the machine specs then it's not a different machine.
Apple should try to introduce some low-end portables like the iBook and MacBook have been at even lower costs. Then potentially bring back a high-end lightweight portable like the 12" powerbook use to be.

Oh yuck... is that what they referred to a the clamshell??? It looks like a kid's toy, rather than a computer.
*Edit - Goood Grief, I just googled ibook clamshell, what an ugly looking toy. this does not even look like a real computer, more like something a 5 year old would play with. These had to be while Steve Jobs was gone from apple..
What are you guys talking about, that thing is so real! I just saw it at my local Apple Store, it's called a MacBook Air. Oh, and there is even a MacBook with a dedicated graphics card now days as well, even a LED screen, that one is called a MacBook Pro. Technology sure is amazing, eh?

A fake video
If the video were of an actual new Macbook, why be shot so close and so cryptic? Why have the piece of paper over the keyboard? Completely fake.

It doesn't need to be. I don't think the iBook is appealing because it's made of plastics. Pretty much the same people would buy it if were aluminum, at least if its comes in color.
Maybe they'll do it - but why not in aluminum?

What about the hinges? It doesn't look like the classic Apple L-hinge.
Seems fake to me. Although the two-tone idea is possible. Apple could make the pro black, giving rise to the whole Alu-Black pro product thing. The mini is alu-white, so it works.
That said, screen contrast (against the frame) is better with a black bezel.

that video is TOTALLY fake... i know because it is *I* who has the real new MacBook... behold!
That is soooo photoshopped. Not real, people, move along!
PS: Everyone knows Macbooks have glossy displays. This here is totally matte, dude.
