Last year the UK back to school promotion ran from 12th september to 30th october.

Well I though it was a iPod of the value of up to £200 ? On the American store they have the iPod Touch offered as a freebie.

Last year we got £85 off any ipod which was the price of the cheapest one excluding VAT so you had to pay £15 for the 4gb nano. So if they same applies this year the ipod touch is still going to cost you £115.

Lucky Americans getting a free ipod touch, was that the deal for them last year?
You never know maybe apple will be nicer to us this year, but this is rip off Britain.

It's rip-off Apple in this instance. I hate that Daily Mail-derived expression.

What so I am waiting to pay £115 for a iPod Touch ( which i alread have ) ? I thought that they would charge you for it like £200 minus Tax ~ £150 or whatever, then you get ALL the money you paid for it back, via a mail in rebate. I understand they won't charge you as much as the original price because you're buying a Mac but I thought the whole deal was that you unlimateley get a FREE iPod Touch, even though you initially paid for it.

I really want to know what/if it's going to happen !

shame on you for waiting for so long!

steve jobs really should throw in a free iphone for first time customers me thinks.

Has anyone looked at the Apple UK Store? There appears to be a large space underneath the products range which was filled with links until yesterday. Would it appear Apple are freeing up site real estate for their new MacBook link or even the back to school promo link? Just a thought

I can't see what you're talking about - is it still there?

Dead right about last year, and it was the same the year before...
I got £100 of the 30Gb iPod so got it for £120 in total i seem to remember, Something like that anyway.

I really hope you're joking

i can only guess he is joking about being 'in love' with them. although some people over the lake (ie USA) do love strange things:p

but they should be pretty good. they use Monster Cabling and although i have not heard them, could well be a competitor against shure £10000000000000 headphones and then BOSE QC (which i now have):D:D:D:D

I can't see this empty space either, they may hve replaced it with the Dr. Dre Headphones.

Look directly underneath the product spectrum - MacBook / MacBook Air / MacBook Pro / Mac mini / iMac / Mac Pro , above 'Staff Picks'

The space is beside the link which says "The ultimate all in-one"

It's a pretty huge space for any store not to be using which makes me think they are getting ready to stick up promo links to the back to school scheme or the new MacBook

I'm in the market as it were.

Fancy some nice wireless ones, ideally with a transmitter which takes more than one input - i know i could do it with splitter cables but its a bit messy.
Open to suggestions?
