I only ever lined up for one phone. The 6 plus. Couldn’t get an order placed from Apple so jumped to att. Got release date delivery. 12 hours later, they moved the date until November. So cancelled that order and decided to chance waiting in line. Closest Apple Store to me is an hour in a half away, inside a mall. Got there around 8pm the night before and they told me the mall doesn’t allow people to line up on the property until an hour before. So I went back home. Got back up at 230 am and went back down. Every where around it was packed. Ended up parking in a McDonald’s a mile away. Eventually so many people pushed on the property that they couldn’t do anything about it. So they had us form a formal line, which everyone of course ran to get into. I ended up 5th in line. Got the phone I wanted.

Glad the preorder process is so easy now.

Kids these days don't know the excitement of waiting in line. My store wouldn't even allow queues to form until 2am on the launch day. Then yuh had to wait until 7:30a for the employees to walk through the line starting at the beginning and asking how many, which model and carrier and then handing out slips with that info on it. All the while you're listening to the person in front of you hoping they weren't getting the same thing as you thinking to yourself what's your backup plan and the person behind you doing the same thing. Ahhh the good ol' days 😆
I've lined up twice: The first time was for the 3G. The second time was for the 4. The 3G year was the same year as the MobileMe debacle, so I remember lining up outside the Apple Store before 6 am. If I recall correctly, I didn't get my phone until about 2 pm. People were super frustrated and several ended up leaving. I still remember one guy going on and on about how Apple had lost "all the goodwill" they had generated over the years.

The 4 was much smoother, but I was afraid I wouldn't get the model I wanted. I didn't calm down until the specialist came down the line and asked each person for their preferred phone. We were given a sticky note or something similar. I held onto that thing for dear life until I got into the store.
 
This is kind of crazy. I ordered for ISPU so I wasn't expecting to be able to track at all. But I just went to UPS my choice and entered my order number -2 as a reference number, and this is what I see. I really wish I had a way to get the whole tracking #. I'm surprised because I assumed that the ISPU phones would come as a pallet load or something and not be assigned to order numbers until they arrived at the store. But maybe that's not the case. This is also the first time I've gotten a reference number to work.

I was able to find my device this way as well. But I am unable to see any additional information such as yourself. I also have a UPS My Choice account, however, it doesn’t appear there either.

I lined up for the 5S because only the 5C was available for preorder in 2013. I was 5th or 6th in line at the Verizon store. Waited for 50 minutes. My boss at the time gave my permission to come in late to get my phone lol

I lined up for the 3G and several models after that. I took the day off, but I couldn't get to the mall as early as I wanted to. But I lucked out anyway. I got the very last phone available. The guy ahead of me was picky about color and I wasn't. I think the 3GS was the last white phone I had. I remember one of my colleagues reaching out and touching it and saying, "It's soooo sexy!" Maybe I should get another white phone one of these days...
 
My order was already showing 9/20 the entire time on UPS but now showing by the end of the day 7pm... Not good because UPS sucks in my neighborhood and actually does come late. Are UPS ground and UPS express 2 separate entities like FedEx express and FedEx ground?

You could try the UPS International Customer Service Center at 1-800-782-7892 to get your complete tracking number. If you can't wait for UPS My Choice to populate.

All 4 of my ISPU orders have been charged this afternoon…16P WT 128GB, 16 Black 126GB, AW10 Black, and AirPods 4 w/NC 🤑 Thankfully I have last year’s models for the first 3 as TI’s and will sell my AirPods 3 and Beats Fit Pros.

Same - 2 16PM, 2AW10 and 2 Airpods 4 w/ ANC all charged today with ISPU set for 9/22 (earliest I can get free this weekend!)

Hmm that International line is 24/7 according to UPS see this image below maybe you hit the wrong path in the VRU. The domestic line is closed on Sunday but does open at 6 AM tomorrow.

Well daggum it. Not sure what I did wrong. I called multiple times and tried different answers to the automated menu’s questions and that’s where I ended up.

Anyone who’s called them for tracking info know what I should tell the stupid machine in order to get a person?
 
Update: they told me they can't apply it on their end, I need to cancel and re-order. Luckily - I was able to snag the same model at the same store and can pickup on launch day.

If you end up re-ordering, the app will not let you apply your account balance if you said yes to adding AppleCare. Remove that and it will give you the option.

Now to figure out where option to cancel the previous order went!
I texted support yesterday and spent about 6 hours to end the convo due to frequent disconnects on their end. Was told everything looked fine as to gift card use, even though I knew otherwise. Call this morning after seeing website say I needed to update payment info and that my order was on hold. After spending an hour on the phone, support was able to fix the gift card problem and I am still slated for 9/20.
 
My UPS My Choice only shows basic details of the package when I track by reference. Does not allow me to see the tracking number or the tracking details. I have UPS My Choice Premium too. Anyone have any idea why? I tracked using order number as reference. Shows scheduled delivery for 9/20 but that's it.

All phone are chilling at Zhengzhou, CN. Most likely at the airport for the next day or 2. If it says the 20th you should be good to go. Tracking eventually will show up on the UPS My Choice page...
