I always ask them to waive that fee and they’ve never refused.I just tried to upgrade with a $500 trade-in. Apple makes me select a carrier. I'm with AT&T now so I have no choice but to select AT&T. Then AT&T will charge $35 fee even though I do all the work of transferring from home.
Is this correct?
They wouldn't need to know exactly how many to ship. They can make educated guesses based on prior releases and ship about that many. Orders over the amount that is already stateside would simply get pushed dates. As to storage... it's a lot of phones but I'm guessing that UPS probably would be happy to store them until the day comes. They don't have to all be in one place, you know. Apple isn't hurting for money and I'm guessing the logistics cost is included in the price of the phone. Why would these be state wide? How can Apple calculate how many to ship? Where are they storing hundreds of thousands of phones? Who is paying all the shipping and storage?
Exactly. They will stay late on Thursday and put up the photos, displays, posters, etc... and put the phones out on the display tables. Nothing will be put out before then.Yeah, they go on display on the same day the iPhone 16 is released: this Friday
From past experience, we probably won’t get shipped notification until Thursday morning. if Apple says Friday, you will get it on Friday.Should many people's orders go from "Preparing to ship" to "Shipped" by tomorrow morning? I'm so ready to see this thing on the move, lol. I'm fr so hyped.
It will be on the subsequent bill, unless you call them before the billing cycle is up and talk them out of it.Verizon says that there is a $35 upgrade fee. When I receive my iPhone on Friday, will I need to call in to get the upgrade fee sorted, or will they just automatically put it on my next bill? Don't wanna sit on the phone with them all day because Verizon CS sucks.
Gotcha, thank you. I would rather pay it than call them, as long as it doesn't keep me from activating my new phone. It will be on the subsequent bill, unless you call them before the billing cycle is up and talk them out of it.
It will have to fly through some snow it looks like.As you probably know, the UPS plane going to Anchorage from Incheon is UPS175. It will arrive in Anchorage in one hour and fifty minutes.View attachment 2420401
Going into the bad weather right now...UPS Flight 175 is on descent into Anchorage. If you want to track the plane, the tail number is N632UP.
747-8F that is 2.7 years old. A young old bird!
It’s gonna probably either go around or divert. I doubt it’ll divert it gotta have plenty of fuel from SeoulGoing into the bad weather right now...
Curious about how you'll request the phone be held for you.60 hours and 5 minutes til my local UPS CC opens in Lubbock, TX
It will show up automatically on your bill no need to call or pay anything during the activation process. Personally, I've contacted them each year and requested that it be waived (I mention how I've been a long time customer, paid my bill on time, etc.) and I've never been denied in the end. (This goes back to the iPhone 5.) I sometimes have to be firm that I want it waived, but I'm always polite. I've had better experiences through the chat because I actually have a written copy of what was said should I ever have to dispute it with them later (we're talking about Verizon here LOL), thankfully it's never gotten to that. Be prepared to be upsold out the wazoo and just politely decline any upsells and tell them you're simply contacting them about wanting the activation fee waived.Gotcha, thank you. I would rather pay it than call them, as long as it doesn't keep me from activating my new phone.
