Has that changed then? Because I have always received the trade in kit a couple of days before the phone even releases. But that was maybe 3 years ago. The last two years, I picked up the phone at the store on launch day, which is why I’m a little worried.

Does that then mean that the 14 day window doesn’t really apply to the iPhone Upgrade program if we possibly won’t receive the kit up to 2 weeks after?

I think the 14 days starts when you receive the trade-in kit

Do they still provide a tracking number for inbound trade in kits? As in, when they ship them over to us?

She is correct. The CC can't place a Hold for release. Only the Shipper or you by phone or using the My Choice UPS app. As we have discussed earlier on this thread. Apple will not allow Hold for release this year. You can request a hold after a 1 failed delivery or redirect to a UPS store. Both will delay your delivery beyond Friday.

Lubbock used to just get one UPS plane per day every morning, now we get two per day, likely since UPS took over the partnership with the Postal Service from FedEx, so we’ll see if it will make it onto the plane that lands in Lubbock tomorrow evening, or if they will truck it from Fort Worth, Texas, like they usually have in the past.
I’ll be like Theyayarealiving and take pic of the plane.
I have the next two days off. I work for AT&T, I know the value in having iPhone launch day off, haha.

No, this hasn’t changed at all. I’ve been doing the iUP since the iPhone 7 and it’s been the same for me since then. They give you plenty of time to return things, even with the shipping time. It looks like for the last two years, I’ve gotten tracking for my trade in kit the day before my new phone arrived, with the actual kit getting there about a week later. They gave me approximately two weeks after receiving the kit to return it

Trade-in starts when you pick up your phone off it's delivered. Not based on trade-in kit.

It's been awhile since I've done an ISPU. I have ATT next and I ordered via att financing. How do I go about getting this current phone back to ATT? Do they just email me a shipping label? It's been so long I can't remember.

They email you a shipping label. Take pictures and watch that tracking number like a hawk. They use a really sketchy 3rd party company that has a bad track record of returning it on time. 3-strikes and I was done with Next and moved to IUP with Apple.

I'm part of Wave 1, but normally, at this point, UPS My Choice would let me hold for pickup at a customer center. That option isn't available this year (for me at least). Anyone else not able to hold for pickup?

It wasn’t allowed last year as well.

Now that my iPhone is taking a break at the WorldPort, I can start obsessively refreshing for any info on my Watch S10 😵. PFS and no tracking. I hope they meet each other on the plane to Denver tomorrow LOL

Omg you just reminded me of such a nightmare with at$t one year! They sent the phone back TWICE saying it was late even though I had tracking showing it was received on time! (Then just had an issue with Apple saying hubby’s iPad had issues with the screen….. which was perfect and hardly used prior to sending it in!). I’m taking our phones to the store next weekend for trade in!!!!!!!!!!
