I'm eagerly waiting for my iPhone 16 Pro Max and Watch 10. My phone made it to SDF in the first wave, but my watch is still stuck at "label created" since the 13th(Clayton, IN). I'm a bit anxious about the delivery, especially since UPS in my area doesn't typically deliver on weekends, in case the date slips. I live in a smaller city, and the closest air cargo hubs about a 7-hour drive away, usually ups ground packages leave around 5-6 pm, or shipped next day if missed. According to the UPS ground delivery estimate map, it takes around 2 days from Louisiana, so I'm worried about receiving it on 20th if they delay holding it until late tomorrow evening, as rumored.
The estimated delivery for my phone still shows the 20th, but I suspect it might change only after clearing customs at Louisville. Anyone else in a similar boat or have insights on what to expect? 😟

I guess the best move is to trust UPS's routing algorithm and delivery estimates, and just stay positive 😂
Your AW10 is probably already stateside.

You should see a ship notification tomorrow via FED_EX or UPS for your watch.

I'm sure someone has posted a video but where did they put the sim slot on the international model of the 16 series, since the new camera button is now there.

Got my tracking number for my Teal iPhone 16. It’s coming from Lebanon, TN, US. Just like last year

I plan to order on the Apple Store app and pick up in person at the store Friday.

It says

“Check back later for availability on 9/20”

What does that mean? Will I be able to order on 9/20 and pick it up or

There’s no stock or no info yet if my local Apple Store has it?

Another option is to wake up early and wait in line

UPS does not normally deliver on weekends for any of these Apple Launch day orders (no Saturday Delivery). UPS only delivers on Saturday to makeup for a missed delivery on Friday.

Make sure you check the Apple Store stock early before they open.
They restock and inventory each morning before they open and will show up on Apple's website.

When you see one you want, immediately pay for it so that it will be waiting for you.

Otherwise some other person in line can grab it.

It means no stock today. Just keep checking, Tomorrow morning check before your local store opens something might pop up otherwise you will want to check before you head to the store to wait in line. While you keep checking for inventory availability.

Just to clarify there will be no units available to pickup before Friday.

ETA: added last sentence.

Edit: sorry, wrong thread. Meant to post this in the Verizon thread.

OK, so does anyone have any experience getting a phone shipped from Verizon?

It seems that Verizon puts a restriction on the package so you can’t have it held at your local UPS center for pick-up.

So how on earth do you ever get your phone if you can’t take the day off work? Like can you finally request that it be held at a service center after the first delivery attempt? Or does UPS just do three delivery attempts and then if you’re never there, they send it back to Verizon and you get billed some return fee?

At this point, I’m not really worried about getting it on Friday, I just wanna be able to get it someday at all.

Ok, just a friendly reminder not to call apple and request a UPS CC hold, they can and will honor it, but here what happened to me last year…

They loaded my iphone into the UPS truck Friday morning. When the UPS truck got here later that evening, the Ups guy knocked on my door with the package in his hand and asked for a signature. Then a hold message appeared on his screen, he said that he had to take it back and to call UPS. I called UPS right away and they said my phone was in the UPS cc, I went to my local UPS cc office and they had me wait there for hours until the UPS truck finished his shift or come back in the morning.

So in short, I learned my lesson this year and won’t be doing that again.

In past years, you could not order iphones or watches the first 2-3 days of launch, for same day pick up. I think they were worried about things showing as in-stock in the store, then having it get sold as you checked out online. The in-store stock changes so fast the first couple days.

You can try it of course, but don't be surprised if it doesn't work on Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday.

My order still says arriving the 20th but nothing has shipped yet... I hope it still arrives on time.
If you don't have access to UPS My Choice don't worry, nobody says theirs has shipped on Apple's Website. It absolutely should tomorrow, though.
