I'm curious for metro-Detroit people how our phones will get here. I don't see a scheduled flight SDF-DTW today or tomorrow. I know if often comes up by truck for regular shipments, but I thought UPS always flies them here for iPhone launches..

I do the same. My door will be open as soon as the driver starts walking up my driveway!
Yes, you have to nowadays. I had a delivery from UPS on Saturday last week. The driver took a photo as proof of delivery - however- the proof was a blurry photo of my bushes and not the package! Another reason why to meet the driver or be on the lookout.

Gotta say, their photos are almost as bad as Amazon.

I am in the October 2-7 group and nothing yet either. (Overslept by 10 min.)
I've got a phone in that group as well: 16 PM Black, 256GB. It was probably about 10 minutes after starting that I got to this phone. Either they underestimated the Black Titanium's popularity & didn't manufacture that many, or the BT was *really* popular for it to slip to October that quickly. I would think there would have been at least one or two windows in September before getting to October.

After digging around on UPS, I finally found an option to “authorize shipment release”. But it says the package isn’t eligible lol. Hopefully me or someone else will be home to sign for it.

Worst case scenario, I work 15 minutes away from home. Maybe I can sneak out for a bit, my boss is on vacation until next week and the office is dead lol.
Weird. Mine was eligible when I first got the tracking through UPS my choice and I was able to do it successfully.

I contacted Apple (via iMessage) to request a pick up at the UPS CC. They said that it takes about 24-48 hours for me to get the update because the agent has to submit the request to a higher up on the ordering department and they have to reach out to UPS to confirm it can be picked up, etc..

I’m still going to try getting a pick up at an Apple Store.

I'm telling you, this is not the path you want to take. The hold will result in you getting your iPhone on Monday.....

Bummer. I got natural 256 pm and I’m mid October. Still hoping for a miracle

Where in the metro are you? We are in NW Dallas and our UPS delivery time is always a crap shoot!
North of Frisco. Our times are all over as well. Some days they are here at noon, other days it's 5pm. Makes for a loooong day of waiting and watching teardown videos for sure!
