Have not been able to be part of the thread this year and feel bad to post with little reading back but I could not find signature required anywhere on with the UPS or Apple apps.

Figured signature would be required and Apple has confirmed that it is.

Really hoping they have track the truck option tomorrow. I can understand why they might not toggle that feature on tomorrow.

Time to make and print out some UPS signs tomorrow which always makes my delivery guy laugh.

Press doorbell, stick your face close to doorbell and count to 30 and prepare for easily deployable instructions.

My AirPods 4 with NC just got a tracking number but it’s interesting how this hasn’t shown up in UPS My Choice.

It’s at the driver’s discretion. One year when I was home for the delivery, I had the shipment release forms on my front door on iPad launch day in case I was in the restroom or whatever when the driver showed up. I watched the fedex driver get out with my package, see the signed release on my front door, put my package back in his truck, and come to my door with “delivery attempt” tags. I talked to him, and he said he wouldn’t leave it even with the signature posted on my door because there’s too much risk of theft. Since I was there to sign, he gave me the package.

Most of the other times, drivers have left the package, but they do have discretion even over your instructions.
Kudos to him, good driver.

UPS signature is up to the discretion of your driver.

If it's unsafe to leave it, the driver will require it.

If it's safe (like my area), then the driver will leave it.

Past 5 iPhone deliveries, always had them delivered on the front doorstep without a signature.

LMAO someone has to do the 😭 emoji this year.

But I’m up early tomorrow anyway so I’ll just do an ISPU (it’s a 15 PM 512GB desert titanium) if nothing updates on UPS’ end.

Worst case scenario - I just return one. We’ll see. But tbh - I do regret not doing the Apple Store pick up.

Yeah that shouldn't be an issue since you have a backup plan. By this time next year there will be no more UPS CC so next launch it will just be expected it delivers on the launch day or in store pickup lol

Because then it would be today and tomorrow would be Saturday and you'd have to wait until Monday.
No, if it was tomorrow, then I would have my shiny iphone and have the weekend to set it up. ☎️
Hey at least it’s not like the 80’s where you had to wait 4-6 weeks or maybe longer for delivery!

I know the feeling. Me- I’m going to binge watch Bad Monkey and then football tonight! That should pass the time and distract me!
Did we have iphones in the 80s? JK, I am just super excited. 😀

OMG, I just realized I scheduled an appointment tomorrow at 11:30! I will be rescheduling that - with my luck, that is precisely when UPS will arrive.
They’d either show up at 11:30 or you could have my luck where I reschedule any appointments, then sit around until 4 PM waiting for them when I could’ve just gone to said appointment. 😂

So after reading so many delivery peeps not leaving phones I guess I’ll leave my front door open and might put a sign on my storm door saying “yes I’m home” 🤔… smile you’re on ring camera

I haven’t done UPS shipping since maybe 2020 (I remember because it was during the pandemic and everyone was wearing masks) so I didn’t even think to check.

Huzzah! I joined the shipped club! Getting that text from the Apple Store was a pleasant surprise this morning. Finally able to see my tracking and looks like I was wave 1. 🌊 Black Titanium here I come!!

Got my shipped notification from Apple. Looking at flights headed to AZ. I'm guessing it will be about 4:30 out of Louisville based on the UPS flights I saw scheduled. Tomorrow is the day folks!

Would be a shame if I were to be sick and unable to go to work tomorrow. I suppose if that happened I could go pick up my phone earlier than "after work."

cough cough.
Every year I schedule iPhone day off, and I work for AT&T so it’s like one of the busiest days of the year, I schedule it about a month in advance because Apple is pretty predictable about when they’re gonna release it every year. People in my group just know that “ Robert is not here today because the new phone is out“. Lol

For me this year, it will be interesting to see if it will come by plane and get here tonight to Lubbock, since we get 2 Boeing 757 per weekday now, or will it come in on the truck from Dallas that gets here at about five in the morning.
