Ohhh ok, in my experience buying phones from the carriers directly is a complete headache, if you change your mind at the last minute they will charge 45-50$ on restocking fees, but with apple it’s a just simple 14 day opened/unopened swap, inventory permitting.
Better luck to you. I learned earlier that seeing them next door means nothing. 🤣
I think the map appears when the truck is within a certain distance of your house.
The UPS truck is next to my place for 45 mins already, but status still didn’t change to “delivered”.

Update: it’s officially out for delivery! Truck is showing as about a half hour away atm. Hopefully it’s not just the empty trade in box 😂
The people who cant just go to a Apple store and pickup the phone i feel your pain. Closest Apple store to me is a 8 hour drive.
Good morning and happy IPhone day. iPhone 16 pro is in hand and everything was smooth at the Apple Store.
That close, I would had walked up to the truck LOL, I’ve had that happened that the driver will deliver to Streets around me, leave the neighborhood and come back 4 hours later.
When I was in the UK a year or so ago, Starbucks and the like used paper straws. The damn thing would collapse after a short while making sucking through them redundant.
Interestingly, mine shipped yesterday. It isn't supposed to come till 10/3, but is reaching me this Monday instead.
I have a question my preorder time slot is 3 15 and 3 30 could I go at 5 . I know its a dumb question but just want to be more safe than sorry

My phone and my mom's phone are both out for delivery. Mine says before 7:00 PM and hers says 12:15 - 4:15 PM, but we both appear to be on the same truck.
I know back further some people were talking about location of shipments of devices from China vs here in US.
I had a ProMax and that came from China. She ordered a regular 16 and hers came from Carlisle, PA and shipped yesterday. I'm near the Philadelphia area so not too far away.

They'll hold it for a few days after your pickup window. On the other side of the coin, they may ask you to come back later if you're early.

Not at all. Mine is like that too. Just know it might be rough for us in the after-work rush.
go home if you are tech savvy enough, stay if you aren't . most things are in the cloud
I'm only signing into Apple and downloading my eSIM on their wifi. I do NOT want to be stuck in a mall for an hour or more
I always do my setup at home, especially with a trade-in because I'm not giving them my old phone until my new one is PERFECT. Also it's better at home since there's no rush. JMO!
