Wow. I got lucky as hell, cancelled my order and got this one instead.

Y’all I saw a box on my porch, got way too excited, and it’s the trade in box from FedEx 😭. I knew it was way too early for delivery.

Setup up new watch to old phone FIRST

OR

Setup new phone FRIST and then setup new watch

Which will be easier?

I did this for the 12 and it was awesome! Store collection on opening day but was afternoon slot. I would have preferred to have the early and soak up the atmosphere!

Previously Apple had always said that watches should be unpaired from a device before switching phones, but I believe maybe with iOS 16 this was changed and I believe that practice is no longer required. Someone else may be able to confirm better.

if you're restoring the phone, it does not matter. If you're setting the phone as new, then phone first and you'll have to reset the watch and then pair it.

I just set up the UPS Widget on my iPhone. When I tapped on the widget it showed me the map!

I'd repeatedly tried to find the map with no positive results, but the widget seemed to have made it accessible. The Map is now on the main screen of the UPS app.

Now about that 12:15 to 4:15, or "by 7", prediction. I'm so used to that timing slipping through the day until it arrives at 8.

I think I'm going to do the same, last year I was nervous about E-sim issues, so I sat there for two hours all the while realizing I could have gone home to do it.
 
For those who live in Connecticut and did not pre-order, I guess you could order now pick up at on of the Apple Store in CT, here an example of iPhone16 ProMax 512 GB still aviable.

I have always done my setup at home - last time I was even able to do the iPhone shuffle from home. I pass my current phone down to my daughter and use her older generation phone for trade-in or sale. i skipped the iPhone 15, so this year she is getting my 14 Pro Max and I am trading in her 13 Pro Max.

Mine is still showing delivery by 7, but I have another package on the same truck with a window of 12:15-4:15.
So I’m not sure why they both don’t have that, so we’ll see if I get both of them delivered together😅
