Haven't turned it on yet; feels a bit warm like the box was out in the sun. The black looks so sleek. Love it.

Going to transfer everything after walking the dog. He's been fussing at me for an hour and a half to go.

Truck is finally on my street (it’ll probably make a rogue right turn as we speak). But, why even have delivery estimates? Mine was between 10:45 and 1:45…it’s now 5.

Mine is Oct 2-7 and I also got the charge. I too am in Florida and when I checked my store earlier they did not have my phone available for p/u. I hope this means we will get them early next week. 🤞

I just got my phone as expected even though the UPS tracking was saying it was going to deliver the next day.

Right now iCloud transfer of my data is taking forever!
 
Well it's been an absolute blast running the upgrade game with y'all this year. I hope all of you enjoy your new toys and whoever is still waiting I hope you enjoy yours too when they arrive!

Yeah, clearly the case. Got the same delayed message and mine just got delivered!

i don’t understand why you can’t do anything with your account. Just leave the $1,300 in there, and don’t touch that part of it.
 
Picked up my pre-ordered, 9/13/24 @5AM PDT, Black 16 Pro Titanium 256gig today at new Del Amo store. Apple included a nice white Hydroflask Water bottle with Apple logo with Del Amo for Grand Opening. Appt 1145-12. Helped at 1205. 10 minutes to secure new iPhone and grab an Apple Silicone case. Nice, high end Apple shopping bag. Total in line and out the door: ~30 minutes. 1st in person Apple Store Launch Day pick up- in the past Costco VZW Launch Day orders and today was much better than waiting for UPS delivery person.

Enjoy the new devices and until next year- I’m in process of transferring data between 15 Pro and new 16 Pro: not a fast process ~ 75 minutes and had to restart the process as it got hung up transferring VZW eSIM and again since my 15 Pro was on beta 18.1.

I had no issues—cellular took just a minute and all my data transferred in under 45 minutes. Then I tried to pair my Watch and chaos ensued.

Once I finally got my Watch unpaired from my old phone I couldn’t pair it unless I set it up as new. BUT my apps and data etc did transfer.

The worst part was not realizing I needed to update the WatchOS and, as usual, that process took forever.

ETA: In my iPhone Watch app, below the messages about being unable to pair, there was an option to add a new Watch and that’s how I finally got my old Watch to pair. I could the delete the stalled-paring Watch.

Waiting not too patiently for the transfer process to complete. It says about 2 hours remaining... but it's been saying that for at least two hours. Hopefully it will be done before I go to bed. What's really annoying is that I can hear that I'm getting text messages but I can't see them. Hopefully none of them are too important. Something I didn't think about when I chose transfer vs iCloud backup. It transferred the eSIM to my new phone, but I can't get into that phone to tell it to share messages with my Mac or iPad. Oh well. First world problems.

I did restore from iTunes, 11 minutes
 
Phone 16 PM 1tb bt just got delivered, UPS gave me the noon-2pm time frame, arrived at 2pm! Phone activated on the first attempt! Transferring everything from icloud now!

Both my phone and watch were loaded on a UPS truck at 9:04am today. Around 2pm the UPS app updated my phone tracking details to “Your package is pending release from a Government Agency. Once they release it, your package will be on its way.” When the driver came to my door with only the watch I asked about the phone. He told me, “There’s supposed to be two but there’s not. A bunch of Apple stuff is missing.” Called UPS, and am now waiting for them to call me back.

I had another package show up today when searching by reference number. Can’t tell who it’s from or where it’s shipping to. But it showed delivered; so I drove back up to the office. 40 minutes one way and nothing was there. So either someone has a similar reference number or my package was stolen. At least my 16PM made it. I’m just going to enjoy my trip and deal with apple when I get back if the trade in kit doesn’t come.

I would pay extra in the upcoming years for Apple to rent out some vans like Amazon does for deliveries. Likely would NEVER happen because 1: They have a really good partnership with UPS and 2: They would outsource the drivers and you could never have full trust in someone not taking the entire van and offloading the devices somewhere.
