I usually go for 256GB also, but I have both 256GB and 512GB set up on preorder, and I'll probably go with 512GB.
I had great success with UPS holding my phone at the CC until last year: they stopped providing that option. They said that Apple would no longer allow it. 😭
Yep what @Pipper99 said. You could try to have it redirected to a UPS retail store and held for pickup. Just double check the Store hours.
I have a handful of cards stored in my wallet and Apple Pay, will I be able to select the card at the time of check out tomorrow or will it default to one card only? cheers

Set the default card to the one you want to use. That way, you won’t waste time picking the right card tomorrow.

So, you can’t pre-pre-order (I.e. “Get Ready”) via the Veteran EPP store. You have to login, verify (w/ ID.me is what I use) and then get in and purchase exactly at Pre-order H-hour. It’s not too bad…just at 4:59:50 PDT (don’t know your time zone), hit the veteran EPP link, and verify w/ ID.me. If you can time it, 0500 PDT rolls over and your in. But with all the pre-orders, it’ll be tough. You’ll have to refresh and retry the verification several times, so don’t be surprised.

I set up my preorder with Apple and selected Verizon as the carrier and it didn't ask me anything else as far as a plan, etc. Just said there would be a $35 Verizon activation fee. So I'm wondering when I get it, is it really strictly for Verizon, or would it let me activate with Visible still since that is what I have now on my 15 Pro Max. I'm willing to change to Verizon and am prepared to contact Visible to get a pin to port my number over to Verizon, but just wondered when I take it out of the box to activate it, if it will start out expecting me to activate with Verizon, or if it might just let me activate it on Visible since I have that now. We'll see I guess.
Don’t do it. It was a nightmare for most of us last year since UPS decided against holding iPhones at CC centers. I ended up having to show up at the distribution center at 7:45am and begging for them to make an exception but the guy told me to arrange Apple Store pick-up for the iPhone 16
