My alarm didn’t go off (user error) so I didn’t start my preorder until about 5:22. I will still able to get 9/20 delivery for my 256GB Pro Max Natural Titanium. In store pickup wasn’t available anymore though at any of the stores in my city. I’m hoping to go back in to drop off my trade in if that’s still a thing.

Yay! I got into the store at :03 and had nothing prefilled out. Checked out at :05. Got Opening Day delivery for a Pro Max Natural Titanium 1 TB for me and a Pro White Titanium 512 GB for the wife. Went back in afterwards and placed an order for an Ultramarine case for each of us.

Excited! Best of luck to everyone else! Back to sleep now…

Almost 40 minutes after my purchases this morning, I received confirmation from capital one. Payments went through, iPhones are coming! Orders in progress!

Yes, you had me panic because my CC usually warns me about charges of this amount, no email? I checked my CC site and bingo Apple already charged it! Never been so happy to see such a ridiculous charge before.

Did the pre-pre order and made sure all the information on it was correct and it still used a 10 year old address that I don’t have access to. Tried contacting them to update it but they don’t see it in their system yet. Do you think I’ll have any luck getting it changed or am I out of luck?

that would mean not everyone buying could been push back for 1 month

Mine was already charged this past Monday when I pre-authorized my Apple Card.

Even though the order was officially placed today, Apple Card already had a pending charge showing up 4 days earlier.

All Pro Max's minus Natural Titanium in 512Gb & 1 Tb are all at Oct 2nd - Oct 7th, the first two are Sept 30th _ OCT 2nd
All of the Normal Pros except for the White & Black Titanium in 512gb and 1 TB still have release date delivery, the first few are on Sept 30th - Oct 2nd

I wonder if it’s because of more stock or because the Pro Max is so much popular via preorders

Only difference for the Pro Max this year is battery and display size. no camera differences to sway buyers to it

Weird. My order went thru even tho it said payment failed on the Apple Pay screen. Then the second order also went thru with no error message but neither order has been charged to my Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Anyone else not seeing the charges?

My apple pay failed twice using 2 different cards. They didn't go through and neither card was charged.

Took me 15 mins of refreshing the military store before I finally got in this morning. My wife gets her 16 Pro 256 white on launch. My 16 Pro Max 256 black was already back ordered to 10/2-10/7.

Yes, you should see that soon. I have two iPhones I preordered. I’m only seeing a pending charge for one of those. Ordered at :02 and both email confirmations received at :03.

Thanks, that's what it was, just got the first charge on my chase card for the first phone, i assume I'll get the second charge for the second phone any moment now. Phew!

Yup. But it’s only a very small percentage of the us population that can do so, and probably 90-95% of them doing so are financing them somehow. All your comment really says is you never had to struggle in your life for anything. But hey I’m actually happy for you for that, having to struggle for things sucks.

You don’t know me or my life. I have had plenty of struggles and know what it’s about. I am saying in the grand scheme of things apparently how bad the economy is. I am fascinated every year it’s not a problem for people to drop $1k+ on these. Financed or not.

No pink?! I ended up going with the 16 Plus in Pink I cannot resist the pink color. Although I do think I prefer the pink on my 15 over the 16!

I’ve wanted the pink from the second I saw it during the event. Yeah a deeper shade would have been great, but even this bubble gum pink is pretty bold for Apple after the last few years.

Got in 501 and got both my confirmation emails at 504 and 505. For pick up at my closest Apple Store . 🙂 for some reason I had to complete my orders separately probably because I’m financing them but I got a check in window at 945 for the black pro max and 1045 for the black plus. I’m hoping I can get them picked up together at 945 so I won’t have to hang around the chaos 😵‍💫 I wanted the 8 AM slot so I could get there before the rush but my Apple Store is downtown and there’s only like five parking spots in front of the store and I don’t wanna park too far away from the store for obvious reasons so I’m thinking that I’m gonna have to maybe show up really early so that I can get a good parking spot 😭
