Agreed. I've been on the iPhone Upgrade Program since it was available when the iPhone X dropped and upgraded every year on it. The only reason I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max was to move to a bigger phone from the 14 Pro and for USB-C. I'm pretty set now until they make compelling upgrades with the 17 or 18. And as awesome as it is to get a new iPhone every year on that program, for my circumstances, it doesn't make sense for me to keep paying a monthly fee to get a new iPhone every year. So I'm gonna stick it out with my 15 Pro Max as long as I can.
Still, I'm jealous of everyone here that gets to enjoy their shiny new 16!

Just got a shipment notification for my case. Thats pretty cool. I havent bought an iPhone on launch day since maybe 8 or X. Forgot there is a bit of excitement to this.

Joining in on the fun. I ordered my iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB Black Titanium No Carrier about 8:05EST, no issues. I skipped last year. I used to always pick up at UPS CC, but looks like that might not be an option anymore. I hope I can do it since UPS delivers to my house about 5-6pm. I have UPS MyChoice Premium. For the 14 launch, I was out of town so had it sent to UPS Store. Arrived there at 12:47pm on Friday (Launch day). I could even track the UPS truck like I could if delivering to house. Might do that if UPS CC is not an option.
They have no clue. They don’t live in the walled garden on the Dynamic Island inside Steve Job’s reality distortion field.
Now to remember that it won’t be delivered early and to just wait until Friday… 😄
I remember last year my local UPS didn’t deliver until 8PM that night. (almost got delayed to Saturday).

Ohh I just realized, one of the benefits of me getting home delivery as opposed to store pickup, which I’ve done the past few iPhones, is that I get a UPS tracking number. That will be fun.
Preparing to ship and it’s not even Saturday? They’re on top of the logistics this year. So far my phone I ordered this morning is ahead of my Apple Watch S10 I ordered on Monday.
Just remember store pickup is different inventory vs delivery devices. Each store gets' a bulk delivery allocation based on orders and available Pickup times and prints information for your order. They scan in the inventory and then fill store pickup devices.
Delivery orders are individuality labeled for delivery in China or at an Apple DC here in the US for some initial orders when the Shipping label is added to each box.

I've heard rumors that there's a new manufacturing facility in India this year. If some phones come from there, it will be a whole new shipping route and may take a bit longer than from China. Anyone know for sure?
I decided to cancel my iPhone 16 Pro order, and stick with my 15PM and order a Watch Series 10.
Ordered iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB Natural Titanium and it is preparing to ship.
