IP 16 Pink 128 GB for the wife & IP 16 PRO DT 256 GB (I always select the new colorway for that year) normally the wife doesnt upgrade every year but i feel the 15 (that she has now) compared to the 16 deserves an upgrade. i'm pre pre ready on the apple store app, ready to check out! i always pay in full, unlocked for both & i will activate them when they arrive. (tmobile) super smooth with no issues at checkout.

Got a question for you guys. Is preordering on the computer website on Friday morning going to be pretty smooth? Long story short my main Apple ID isn’t going to be the one I am going to use to order my phone because another Apple ID has gift cards

You can still use the iOS/iPad Apple Store App

Settings > Name > Media & Purchases: sign out, then sign in with the Apple ID that has the balance (gift cards).

Verify the balance appears: Apple Store App > Name (upper right corner) > Apple Account Balance

I’m still debating if I should upgrade my personal phone from the pink 15 plus to the pink 16 plus. I know I’ll be upgrading my work phone to the pro max black but Pictures don’t do the pink this year justice. It kind of looks like it has a purple hue to it but in some photos it does not, Probably a dumb reason but I also want the AI features when they come out on both my phones since I use them a lot 😵‍💫

I use the military and veterans apple website, I financed my iPhone 14 Pro through ATT with apple.com using that discount. The regular Apple website currently gives me the options to see the finance plans for all carriers, but when I switch back the veterans site, I see all four US carriers at full retail, do they offer the discount and finance? I’ve been seeing websites remove discounts altogether and wasn’t sure.

depending on the lighting it does give a purple hue, the brighter the lighting the more hot pink it looks, the AI features alone calls for an upgrade if you use them.

If you pre-order this Friday (after it opens up), your phone should arrive by the following Friday (9/20).

If you wait, your order may get pushed into a later air cargo pallets which may delay the delivery date.

You should place a pre-approved (pre-authorized) cart prepared before this Friday.
That way you can just log in, submit your order, confirm your phone # with the carrier and then wait.

Makes it easy to checkout on Friday.

I thought I’d retell the story of my first iPhone purchase, like I do every year. It was the original iPhone. I was on month-to-month with Verizon because I knew I was going to dump them when the iPhone came out. The iPhone was only supported by AT&T back then. The launch Friday came and went and I didn’t purchase an iPhone. Ok, i came back to the site this morning to set up my Preorder, and I guess I had a not-fully reading moment yesterday and didn't read the part where it says "and you can change your payment method before you check out" so I was able to Ready Up under my Apple Card then I can change to Paypal as my main payment on preorder day

You can’t. I use Visible and have to pay the difference in full between trade in and purchase price.

I have metro by t-mobile, how I did it last year was I chatted with apple and they said the phones are all unlocked even ones through carrier, so I picked the tmobile version and I activated it with esim through my carrier and it worked, I wonder if it's the same this year or they changed it.

yeah plus their silicone cases peel like crazy

I've used Apple silicone cases for many years and have only had one peel once. I brought it to the Apple Store and they replaced it. My husband is rough on his phones, and has had the same silicone case on his 15 since launch day, and it's just barely starting to peel in a couple of places. If you haven't tried one for a while, they may be better than you remember.

I think it’s going to ask you to link an account to one of the big 3 or Boost. I know some people bought it out right last year and then chatted in and had them convert to installments but it was a mixed bag of success.

Apple Card ditched Apple Card Installments for Unlocked iPhones last August.
