DO NOT choose the trade-in option when ordering. Instead, tell the employee when you go to pick up that you'd like to trade in your phone. They'll inspect it and apply the credit then and there.

If you choose the trade-in option at checkout, they'll ship you a box to send it to a partner. You might get a less trade in credit with this method, to say nothing of the lead times or other shipping horror stories.
They said they were sending me a box and then sent an email saying it looks like I’m picking up at store (you don’t tell them that until you make your official preorder) so they won’t send the box. Good. Wasn’t trusting that either.

That's news to me! I'll be doing it my tried and tested way, but please let us know how it goes for you when it comes to actually ordering.

Hope I make 9/20 delivery, has only happened once since I’ve been rocking with the iPhone.

Is there no longer a way to buy an UNLOCKED version of the device, that and pay in apple installments?
Before using the Apple card but they removed the option but the phone still unlocked just activated it in the career .. the other way was buying through Apple and financial with carrier which locked.

First time trading in at the store. I just sign out of Icloud and FindMy then wipe the phone, correct?

Don't do anything before you get to the store. They walk you through the process.

Anecdotal, but last week the employee told me off because I wiped my Mac before getting to the store. He explained that it makes diagnostics take longer on their end since now they have to get through the setup process.

Good to know. Thank you.

So if I want to get the phone financed through the Apple Card, I have to pick a carrier but I’ll receive the phone unlocked so does that mean I can just get the phone activated with my current carrier and not activate through Verizon?

Going in for the 16 Pro Max BT 512GB this year, very stoked! I'll be trading in my 14PM DP sadly but AT&T has a good deal for credit so I must take advantage.

Cases and screen protectors ready to order tomorrow :D

When selecting my carrier (AT&T), will I have to enter account info on Friday morning? I have always selected connect to any carrier option in the past.
Does selecting "Replace this iPhone on my existing AT&T account" require any interaction with AT&T during the pre-order process? My pre-order is all set to go.

I am just worried that AT&T servers will be hammered.

Thanks :)

So i have a tiny hairline crack on the bottom right of my screen. Is it better to say its in good condition and then get dinged on trade in value, or say its got a crack first? I've got an iPhone 15 Pro im trading in

Should be good as long as you "Get Ready" for pre order and also set multiple alarms in the morning

Does anyone know if the iPhone 16 have AOD? I have the 15 pro and on iUP. If the 16 has AOD it may be compelling as I would like a lighter phone.
