I hope U2 don't take up part of the presentation ! I just want solid product announcements ! Not some group playing music..

"swipe delete" is all i can think of this "partnership"

my uncle LOVES U2 for some reason and growing up he tried to get every kid of our family including myself into it but it never worked. it was actually rather embarrassing

Insults are what people hurl, when they're being ignorant. Without God, you couldn't even think OR exist, unless you're gonna tell me you're Grandfather (or other ancestor) was an ape, or a fish?

Anyway, back to the topic - I've no time to debate the lunacy of Darwinian evolution tonight, sorry.

Ape best describes my uncle. My grandfather was some other form of primitive animal. So, no god. Point proven?

On topic: Now I’ll knee down and pray that Bono the Unbearable won’t show up before the end of the keynote.

As I've said before, this doesn't make any sense. Why build a stage when Flint Center itself (where all the people will already be watching the keynote 100 feet away) is already a large stage and theater with good infrastructure and acoustics to support music (even U2)?

I like your other ideas though, I could see the building being all 3 of those (supposedly it is a 3-story building).

Yeah, you're right. I watched the aerial video of the mystery structure, and it's waaaay too big to be a stage (for an outdoor concert) and it's just the wrong shape for an indoor concert. (And I had no idea that Flint Center was as big as it is.)

I'm hoping there won't be some kind of fashion show with runway.
Might have a nightmare about that. Unless Adriana Lima is on the catwalk...

What if Apple releases a new iPod along with the iphone and U2 would be there to promote it with a RED model ?

The classic has not been updated for ages and is the only device with no flash memory

Man.... if all the hype of a mysterious building and all of that secrecy is a.... stage for U2.... im so disappointed.

I'm still crossing my fingers it'll be a space to demonstrate HomeKit. I'm not a U2 fan so if it's a stage, that's lame. It'd be odd for Apple to take attention away from their products and focus on a band.

U2 Said to Play 'Significant Part' in Tomorrow's Apple Event

A big role indeed: At the end of the event, viewers across the country will simultaneously declare, "I still haven't found what I'm looking for."

A couple years ago they were going to have them appear at the event where Apple's Maps app was launched and play, "Where the Streets Have No Name." Alas, they were beta-testing that iOS and they got lost along the way.

won't so many be going...

"who the **** are U2?"

they are so mid 80's and that was 30 year ago. Apple wake up :)

Count me in as being kind of excited for this. Being a kid from the 80s definitely helps.

For those that aren't that excited, just relax. They may have something important to say. Or not. It's two hours of your life, and in reality, unless they give you some secret code to get to the front of the line, get up and get something from the fridge when they're on.

I wish I could have the two hours I spent at a Morris Day and the Time concert back.

My favorite quote from them is that they found the song, "One," played at so many weddings, and that people should really listen to it. It's not a love song, and quite the opposite.

Plus, there's a water pond on the middle of it.

Regardless of whether U2 is relevant.. whether their album will be preloaded.. or whether my grandfather is an ape or not, it's a pretty stupid move on Apple's behalf to build a massive a** stage (over a week before the keynote), just for a music performance.

Any why build a separate stage from where the main keynote is held? "OK everyone, we know you wanna get your hands on the new products, but you have to go outside and watch U2 first.."

I think someone hit it on the head about an iHouse demo. Apple freaked, because they thought they were clever enough no one would think of it, and they've intentionally "leaked" the whole U2 thing, which, let's face it, has turned into outright pandemonium.

If I'm wrong, and Tim Cook needs U2's help (on the day he announces the first innovative Apple product under his name), it's a bleak outlook..

Maybe we'll all be forced to have U2 ringtones. Or maybe Bono will be one of Siri's new voices

Haven't you heard? The new iPhone 6 comes with a Bono doll with a string in the back... Pull it and it screams, "You been screewed you been screewed" ;-)

I'm really looking forward to this evening. Timing is perfect in Denmark. Right after dinner :p But U2? What a cr appy band :-/
