I downloaded it but haven't listened to it because I lost interest in them after Zooropa. But, it's still U2 ,the band that I saw live on a rainy cold night at Red Rocks long ago.

I bought the Complete U2 when it was available on the Apple store. Several of the more recent CDs, I've never listened to more than once.
First, I'm insanely jealous that you saw them live. Second, I share the same feelings about past albums. But like Bono said on stage on Tuesday, it's their most personal record yet, and you can tell. Beautiful lyrics.

Ummm...time? What do you got to lose by reading/watching all the spam you get in your inbox?
Ummm... multitask? You can listen to music while at work, driving, or anything else you'd have to do anyway. That's the nice thing about music is that it doesn't give you tunnel vision. And this isn't spam. It's good, heartfelt music. Not Dr. Oz's wonder pills. Oh some of the people on this site

There's just no pleasing some folk.
Times changed. 20 years ago people would be all over this, because hell it's a free album, good god. Nowadays technically everything digital is free if conscience allows it (and believe me, most people's conscience does allow that). I really couldn't care less about a free album, if I really wanted that album I'd have it by now, free or not. I guess most of the people who download this album for free on iTunes now, would have downloaded it for free somewhere else anyway.

Looking at it like that, U2 made one hell of a deal with this.

It's a phenomenal album. I highly encourage anyone who considers themself a music lover to listen to this record. It's free and entirely in the cloud, so what do you have to lose?

An hour of my time listening to a band long past their best is what I have to lose. No thanks.

You were just told its a quality album. If the Beatles were to some how reform and make a new album, would you not waste your time with it?

Turn off Automatic Downloads.

Double Down Done. :apple:
So you're saying that if I want to use automatic downloads, and I do, then I have to accept that random songs in a genre I don't like will turn up in my music collection?

I have nothing against U2. I just hate the entire genre of music they play in. I want automatic downloads, but only for music *i want to listen to*.

Is that really too much to ask?

Too much to ask? Probably not. Is it a first world problem? ****** yes. Expand your mind to new things.

No. It's not. It's just not reality. :apple:

Which is the minority opinion. (And I agree with the majority in this case.)

Volcano is my new Favorite song! For people that complain about something free and doesn't take up hardly any memory space!!! Please shut the ****up!

Apple, please spend more of your mountain of cash and keep sending me free music. I don't care about these other jokesters here. My 11,000 song personal library could use some beefing up. My goal is to add another zero in my lifetime. I love music and it is in my DNA too.

Bring me more! Make it some Cuban Salsa next time!

Pirate Bay. Demonoid.

One of their weaker albums.

Your username "ghostface147" is racist and I'm going to report it to the moderators.

Wow, people are pissed that we were given free stuff. I downloaded it but haven't listened to it yet. Not a huge U2 fan, but I'll try it out.

I probably misspoke haha, I meant I tapped each song. Physically downloading? Packet capturing? I don't know about any of that. Maybe I'll switch my major to Computer Engineering (I actually want to)!

I clicked the cloud corner of the album and all tunes where dl'ed......

Not sure what all the negative press about this is about. Sure it's in your purchased tab, but come October 13th it'll no doubt remove itself if you haven't chosen to download it already.

Fuss over nothing!

I chose to download the album as I'm partial to a bit of U2. If you haven't downloaded it yet, panic not...you're not missing out.

Some people just love a moan, that's all!

People need to stop complaining about this. Apple gave you a free album from one of the best rock bands ever. Is this a topic you really want to whine about....really?! And the smark remarks about U2 being an "old" band, that's just immature and low.

Infos for anyone who are trying to download onto a Mac Computer
Although the Album does not show up on the left hand sidebar under "STORE/purchased", it can be downloaded from "QUICK LINKS/purchased"
on the right hand side of the main page of the Itunes Store

Would never have guessed. Something for free and people still complain. God I hate humans sometimes.

Only 2 million people cared enough to download it. Gutted for you U2. Well, actually I'm not. It was a lousy promotion.

Thank you but no thank you. I have no intention of downloading the album. Don't have any of U2's music on any of my devices. It's not my kind of music. Besides, auto downloads and updates is switched off for everything anyway.

I do appreciate Apple's and Cook's kind gestures of giving gifts from time to time for owning an Apple device. I'd rather wait for the free Christmss album or app later this year. And of course the free gifts of iOS and OS X. I can remember paying the $130 several times for an OS X upgrade in times past.

May be the Apple consumer community should get together and present Mr. Cook and staff a thank you card signed by 500 million people in appreciation for all that they do for us.
Somebody look into getting that started. Thank you.
