Will apple replace with a new iPhone or will it be a refurb?

For the first few weeks expect it to be a new device. Happened with my 3G S (faulty water sensor), I had to have a hold placed on my CC until I received the new unit and sent them my old one back.

I definitely see this from your pics. This is not good. It seems like there is always a problem with the first batch of Apple anything.

And that's why I'm waiting a few more months to get the iPhone 4.

Yellow tint is really becoming an :apple: trademark. :( Hoping the mid-July batch will be better but it probably won't. These things are made in Chinese sweat shops afterall!

Considering that the yellow blob is in the same general area (bottom-right) -- anyone know what electrical components are behind the screen down there? Maybe it's from EM interference?

The apologists are coming! The apologists are coming!

You are NOT a diva for expecting your 400-600 dollar phone to be perfect out of the box. That's actually not asking a lot.

combined with a 2 year contract in excess of $1,800 as well. These screens should be perfect. No yellowing, dust, or dead pixels.

Hopefully this is a minor problem but I'm nervous. Haha

Everyone needs to quit being divas and calm down. Be happy your phone works and deal with it until Apple gets a large chunk of iPhones in stock. I'm sure it will be a breeze to get a replacement.

You gonna buy a new pair of shoes with mud and scuffs?

I don't see it on my phone.

I have the problem too. No big, it might go away. If not, I'll get a replacement in a month. Heres a better quality picture. (I have a DSLR on hand :D)

jesh the screen does look amazing though.. it's so clear :p hope i don't get the yellow issue but what ever i will replace it if it does have it.. if we can :p in like august haha. ;)

If it's fairly noticeable I'll replace mine after a more stock arrives. If its hardly noticeable I won't bother. Nothing is perfect. If you go through life expecting perfection you will always end up disappointed.

I'd be happy to get one with a yellow screen. It would give me a phone to play with, drain the battery, get the kinks worked out. Then when it loses its newness and just becomes an everyday tool I go and exchange it for one with a brand new screen and battery.

+1 was thinking this too.. maybe let it go naked and if it does get some scratches.. well exchanging it anyways

Ugh. I really hope this is an isolated case, and not a manufacturing error that will show up on a number of devices. Why doesn't Apple ditch LG!

Just take it to the Apple Store and have them replace the phone. Not a big deal. Live with it until they have consistent stock, or just go there on Monday and see what they can do for you.

I had dust under my iPad's screen and took it to the Apple Store and they replaced it without any hassle. My friend's iPad had a dead pixel and they did the same for him.

me too!

Just got my IP4 and noticed 2 distinct yellow spots on the bottom of the screen (left and center) too... As well as a general kind of yellow glow in the bottom 1/4" of the display...

can you post any pics?

Maybe we should do a poll on this, to see who has and who hasnt got yellow spots.

Here is my picture...

I over saturated the image to make the yellow more visible, but how you see it here, is how I see it!
