Do the poll so we can see how many there is.

Im getting mine off ebay, so im really hoping i dont get this! luckily the seller only lives a few train stops away.

Someone made a poll already. What happened to it?

Can someone make a flat white image and upload it to image shack or something so that I can use it to test for white spots tomorrow when I pick up my phone?

Because a poll on a forum where only people complain is totally going to show an accurate percentage. Oh you're a smart one.

Yep, i have it too

Just synced up my iPhone 4 and noticed that, on screens with a white background (i.e., Settings.), there is a decidedly yellow spot on the lower left corner of my screen. It appears circular (about the size of a pencil eraser) but when you rotate the phone sideways, it's more visible as running across the bottom edge of the screen a ways. Anyone else? Also, assuming I wait til the weekend to make a Genius Bar appointment (to avoid the Thursday crush at the store), is Apple likely to have replacement phones on hand this early in the launch?

Thanks,
M

I just set up mine and I have the same stupid yellow spot. So frustrating!

USE THE FREE FLASHLIGHT APPS

the flashlight app's are a solid white screen....

its that simple.

the sad thing is the replacements will be refurbs, not that there is something wrong with a refurb, but it sucks when the you have to pay for retail new pricing and it has a defect and they give you a refurb and it isn't even 1 week old. it is as if you bought refurb for regular price at that point. if it were 6 months out or something then it doesn't suck but if it happens at launch it is messed up

If you take it back within 14 days they will give you a NEW one (not a refurbished).

Is that your bed sheet?:)

I don't know if you're being serious or not so here I shall display two answers.

Serious Answer: No, it's a sketch pad where I draw out UI's for my apps.

Not Serious Answer: No, my bed sheets would be completely yellow.

I seriously don't see anything on my screen and it sounds like everyone else is seeing something. I turned on the flashlight app at full brightness and it looks white to me. I mean if I stare at it long enough I can convince myself there are shades of yellow but I really don't think there is.

Same problem here!

I just got my new iPhone 4 and noticed the same yellow spot in the bottom left hand corner! PISSED!

When you turn on the phone (where the white Apple symbol is visible), you will notice that there is light coming through that same corner. I believe it is a manufacturing flaw. Apple should replace it. I will be visiting my Apple store in the VERY near future.

Does it even really matter? It's not like you'll be doing anything on the phone that requires the color to be absolutely correct. iMacs I can understand but this is just being nitpicky.

LOL @ Nitpicky. Don't up-sell the benefits of the Retina Display and then send it with jizz marks.

BTW, mine has jizz marks.

So just got back from the apple store. After being mobbed by curious apple employees and rushed to a corner of the store it was exactly as expected: "no parts to replace the phone today". The senior manager gave me her card and told me to come back to see her late afternoon tomorrow. We'll see how this goes...

WHY didn't you get a REFUND?

You are entitled to it.

The you can come back later and buy another one in-store when the rush has died down.

No yellow dots on mine yet. When I had a Palm Pre, it had an issue like this which was caused by overheating.

I had EXACTLY the same problem with my HTC Touch Pro.

It went away after about 5mins though.

Have you tried re-checking to see if it is still there or reduced?

Just chiming in - my iPhone just came off the FedEx truck about half an hour ago, and I've got this issue as well.

Four yellow fuzzy blobs, pretty equally spaced, across the bottom of the screen if you're holding it in normal portrait orientation. Mostly only viewable when something white or light colored is on that part of the screen.

RETURN IT! GET A REFUND ASAP.

You got 7-14 days for that then you getting the refurbs.
