Personally I find companies like this too much hassle. It’s rather like booking a long haul flight ticket to Australia at a competitive price only to find that you have an 11 hour wait in Kuala Lumpur to change planes.Just a heads-up for anyone using the TheEduStore, be aware that if you want to change, cancel or return your item the process is a really not fit for purpose. I made an order for the base level MacBook pro and then needed to cancel the order as I needed to a different spec. They don’t have a phone number, only email, and take forever to respond to emails, if at all. They are owned by a parent company XMA, who I managed to find a phone no. to speak to you, but they don’t really want to help you as they say you have email theEduStore, and then you‘re stuck in a cycle. They also have no idea when they will be getting stock in at all, despite what their website says. I see similar complaints on Trustpilot.
So although theEduStore prices are better by over £100 than Apple’s education store pricing, for peace of mind and ease of cancelling / returning etc, I’d go with Apple every time now.
Nor me so I’m thinking DHL. ?I still have no DPD activity![]()
There's normally a 3 way split between DPD, UPS and DHL (UK Mail) so you're fine!I still have no DPD activity![]()
Hope you don;t end up with DHL!!!!Nor me so I’m thinking DHL. ?
Oh no, I haven't had good experience with DHL hahaThere's normally a 3 way split between DPD, UPS and DHL (UK Mail) so you're fine!
I’d be surprised if they don’t actually have them in stock (bearing in mind that at least one model is now showing as being out of stock) but my guess is that you’re more likely to see it on Wednesday or Thursday.Costco order just says Processing with Ready against the product line.
Not likely to get tomorrow I wouldn't have thought (although they don't promise that either).
Just got a text from DHL that my shipment from Apple is on its way. A build-to-order 14” with delivery slot of 8-11 Nov. Hoping for something slightly earlier but it is coming from Shanghai.
Exactly the same spec as me - ordered an hour after the event:CTO ordered 21st October

That’s great news. What was your delivery estimate?I checked UPS My Choice ( a bit like the DPD app ) and I can see my 16" BTO has shipped this morning from China for a Friday delivery!
Ok Just spoke to customer services at Costco to get a little more information about the order.Costco order just says Processing with Ready against the product line.

So Apple are delivering on Friday the 29th then. True to form.29th-2nd
Exactly this. I’m still waiting for a refund on a faulty Mini 3 weeks since they received it back. There’s none of this hassle with Apple.Personally I find companies like this too much hassle. I’d rather pay more and know exactly where I stand. I have a firm rule too: Never buy from a company that doesn’t publish a telephone number.
Yeah I also got something similar, coming straight from the supplier so it's basically in apples handsOk Just spoke to customer services at Costco to get a little more information about the order.
First He was surprised that they even sell pre-order items!! Great!
Second he did some digging in to the line item rather than the order, he said the order is a drop ship directly from their supplier and the system wouldn't accept the order if they didn't have stock. He said we should have tracking details as soon as the supplier starts processing the orders, the supplier will be despatching from a warehouse in Burnley, Lancashire (which happens to be 10 minutes from me!), and will go either by Fedex or DHL. They quote 5 business days as it is a drop ship and not them sorting out the despatch.
I don't even think the supplier is Apple as they said despatched from Burnley. No doubt they get their stock from Syncreon but wonder when they actually get it from them.Yeah I also got something similar, coming straight from the supplier so it's basically in apples hands
Apple Store estimate (14" BTO) still saying 8th-11th, and still saying Preparing to Ship, but I've had a text from DHL saying that it's on its way. No delivery estimate yet, but surely that means it'll be sooner than 8th November??
