Its going to be a great day.

Apple direct orders turning up. For those that have a little wait on their hands, if it’s a base model there is even stock in our Apple stores.

Costco have really impressed us all. Some of us questioned their ability initially and Trust Pilot didn’t help.

My little beast is at my local sorting office all ready to be dropped off at my post office. I will collect it tomorrow as i Had booked today away - never expecting the thing to turn up on launch day. !

I will be checking out all your unboxing photos today

Ha mine is out for delivery with Dave, I have requested Post Office drop off as well but not sure if they take straight to Post Office or try delivering first as it said they still leave a card.

Excited …

This screen is beautiful. IT's funny how it already makes my old 16" look small. It doesn't look as thick as it does in photos either. Power brick is also smaller than I expected based on photos, it's only slightly longer than the old 16" brick in one dimension, maybe half an inch longer.

If any of you have a Thunderbolt cable that is the way to go with Migration Assistant. 500GB transferred from my old 16" Core i9 already at the time I post this.

Ooh I was thinking of getting a pair of those (well, the successor - the 2725)
.) Hard to get hold of in the UK and haven’t seen them much below £900.

Would you recommend?
I like it a lot. I bought it last year to go with the M1, replacing a 2017 27” iMac.

In early versions of Big Sur, it would forget my resolution on wake up and go to its default, but that’s all fixed now.

It charges at 65W, and it has a KVM that I use with a 2018 Mac Mini running Mojave for 32bit legacy stuff.

On my way to pick up my base config 16" from my local apple store?. Might have to pick up some airpods whilst I'm there. The missus is going to kill me !
Ha my AirPods should be here in the next 10 minutes, he is on drop number 5 and I am drop number 7.

AHH exciting stuff. I've been guilty of spam refreshing the "where is your delivery" page as the driver gets closer and closer.

I just migrated from a MBP to a mac mini and it completely ignored the thunderbolt cable and decided to do it over wifi. Took bloody ages. Very annoying. Would have been done in about 10 minutes if it used TB.

Soooooo I'm off to collect a 14" pro 16gb 1tb ?

Any word yet on displayport mst support? I'm expecting it not to work but would love to be pleasantly surprised.

Hmm…ordered the base 14 with 1TB but could go pick up the other 14 inch standard config today at an Apple Store for £270 extra.

Very tempting

Upgrading my 2017 MacBook Pro - I tend to upgrade every new design for the MBP. My use case is very light, I did consider waiting for the new Air's next year but cannot stand the white bezel plus lack of Promotion. In addition, my partner is a teacher so a nice 10% discount can't be snubbed.
