Just watched the rest of the iJustine video…. Hadn’t seen they did all that video work on the base 14. I’ve definitely overspecced my order for relatively light indesign/photoshop/illustrator.

How does one go about cancelling a BTO? Mine is preparing to ship and the option isn’t there at the moment.

Trip to Costco might be on the cards today.

Might need to get in touch with apple now to do so.

I was in the same boat as you after watching but decided to keep the beast! It will serve me will for a good few years

For those whose BTOs moved to shipping on Sunday but didn't receive tracking info from Apple yet - the 'delivery reference' number in the dispatch email works on DHL Express tracking (sorry if i'm late to the party on this...)

About an hour to go for my 8C/14G/16GB/512GB 14” to arrive. Thunderbolt cable at the ready.

So, first impressions from the Apple Store? The space grey models look very dark this year due (I think) to the black keyboard surround. The silver models look incredibly bright due (I think) to the contrast with the black keyboard surround!

Yes I do. It was picked up from china Thursday and the next scan was arrived in midlands uk on the Sunday and delivered to me Monday. so 4 days to delivery even over the weekend.

It's normally between 3 and 5 days from recollection.

Apparently their systems have been slow all day? This is at the southampton branch. I’m not the only one who’s had to wait but people have been walking in and buying them quicker than my collection for instore is?

It’s here! The performance, build quality and general feel are incredible. You can buy cheaper alternatives from the competition to do the same job, but the smoothness and responsiveness of Apple’s design are worth the extra money.

Also the new MacBook Pro’s not bad I guess.

My laptop left the dingy warehouse in Ontario, CA and now it has arrived in Oakland, CA!

Yeah, their systems are on a go-slow today by all accounts.

To be fair, when I arrived, they gave me the option of just buying another one and they'd cancel this one off, but at 09:00 they didn't have any 16" 32GB models left.

I placed the order on event day, delivery window Nov 17 - Nov 24. It is a BTO just because I'm in Spain and I wanted US layout. My order is still processing.

I was just one click away to pick up one today with Spanish layout but I know I would regret that the following years ?

Is there somebody with similar delivery dates on status "preparing to ship" already? I am still hopeful to get it before estimated date.

No queues at the metro centre, good stock levels. The 14” looks tiny but they both are really high quality. Sadly some of the demo units were updating software while I was in but I am hyped for my delivery later.

Got a couple of adaptors while I was in.
