I’m looking forward to a detailed review (illustrated by photos of course) of the magic polishing cloth. 😂😂😂Might as well

Do you think it deserves a thread of its own? With full tracking information? 😉

I just need to make sure the missus doesn't use it on the windows!I’m looking forward to a detailed review (illustrated by photos of course) of the magic polishing cloth. 😂😂😂

I went clean install (when I had a Mac!) for that reason..Loving my base model. 1 week of use and amazing.
Thinking of flattening the OS. There are so many remnants of 32 bit applications and old Intel stuff dating back to my 2010 MBP.
@TheYayAreaLiving are you still lurking around this thread?
when you've caught up you'll see I've returned 2 Mac and have a new one on order! also got a polishing cloth on backorder... not like the 10 you have!
Max had been returned
As how long it take for Apple to give me back my £700 of vouchers I used initially!
But going to bother with the palaver of trying to use them for the pro I paid in full for. Will let them burn a hole in my wallet until the new phones next year!

@Jinjin Ahh, you stopped reporting into the U.S. thread with what’s been happening to you. That's why I decided to stop by here and check on you. Last thing I remember you had your Pro Maxdelivered. We all congratulated you, haha!
I’m all caught up now. Looks like you returned the Pro Max, LOL. After all that waiting, the plane was delayed and being stuck in Korea.
However, I’m glad you have placed a new order. Does it look like it’s set to arrive in December? Such a long wait, but as long you are happy that’s all that matters after all we are spending thousands of dollars.
Happy to see you ordered an Apple Polishing cloth
LOL returned 2back to back! Dang!!! I know one of them was the original one you ordered. Where does the 2nd one come from? On your way to getting a 3rd

What’s the spec of your new Mac? It’s not a base model… is it?
Yes, this is common. DPD recycle their numbers. It will correct itself.Just got the shipping notification. However, when I click on tracking it leads me to the DPD site for a order that delivered in March to a completely different address 🤯 Has this happened to anyone else?
Finally after original expected delivery on Friday 29/10, 120+h of black out, my parcel reappeared yesterday in a facility somewhere in the north(I’m south uk). Was redirected and then delivered at 9am this morning…Can’t wait to get back home now…
I have to say ups gave me quite a few good laughs on this one!
God UPS tracking is hard to use. I'm waiting on and XDR and the tracking says it left Germany at 5:16. The only plane that did that was going back to China! Fingers crossed I am just reading it incorrectly. There are no planes to the UK within a few hours of that however so god knows. Sort your life out UPS.
Yeah, thats why I plumped for the ridiculously overpriced XDR. I have 2 of the old 4K LG ultrafines but had a bad experience with their support and really bad image retention so I don't want to give them any more of my money. You’ll have to share some pictures when it arrives!
I’m struggling to find a monitor that ticks the boxes I need!
No problems for me.Is anyone else having issues touch ID on their new macbooks? Mine is probably working once in every 3 or 4 times.
That’s really odd. Sorry, can’t think of a reason that this should happen. xSo here's a weird thing, and someone more clued up than me might know if there is a logical reason for this...
I deleted the existing fingerprints, but then couldn't add any more. Tried different fingers, cleaned the sensor, washed, scrubbed and dried my hands - nothing. The lines on the screen stayed white, and no matter what I did they didn't register anything and turn red.
Then I disconnected from my external monitor and it worked straight away. If then reconnect the monitor and lock the macbook, i can't unlock it again u less i disconnect the monitor again.
Is there any logical reason for it to behave like that, or is there a setting somewhere i need to change?
Can't think of any logical reason why that would be intended behaviour, sounds like a bug to me.So here's a weird thing, and someone more clued up than me might know if there is a logical reason for this...

Can you do an exchange?totally weird. From a quick google there does seem to be a few cases of it, but no obvious solution.
Just tried apple chat - they suggested a few things like making a test account and seeing if the problem persisted, which it did identically. They then suggested going to the genius bar to get it looked at, which I just can't be arsed to do at the moment. I'll keep googling around and see if I come across anything.
