My credit-card has just been billed for a 19th - 26th Nov MBP Max.

What gap have other people experienced between cc getting charged and actual shipping dispatch?
I think mine was 4/5 days until it moved to PFD, then it was another couple of days until dispatch.

So my (16” Max) originally scheduled 4th - 10th December, which was revised to 19th-26th November has arrived this morning (tracking stated it would be the 10th).

I know there have been lots of issues with DHL but they’ve delivered (pub intended) this for me!

Typically I’m in the London office today so it will have to wait until I’m home 😫!
I'm sure I asked this already but when did you order yours again? was it soon after the event? Also, when did the estimate come forward for you?

Later that night after the event, initial delivery date was revised within a couple of days.

Though 10 weeks is still mid Jan

Count your blessings: It would be 10 - 12 weeks if you placed an order today. 😀

By the way, that’s an impressive widget or whatever it is. Is it hard to set up?
tbh its a pain I the ****. its a bit of a pet project using Azure serverless compute to run some javascript functions which post messages to a Telegram bot.. been pretty hacky so far 😂

would love to see any images of the harbor sleeve and how snug it fits for people who have recently ordered!

I'm still in two minds our that and the woolnut

My order status on the Apple site has changed from 'Arrives 12th November' to 'Arriving soon' -- can't tell if this is promising or ominous

16" just shipped with arrival in a week or so. Have a strong feeling I'm going to end up returning and getting a 14" instead, but worth a shot to see how it feels at home for a bit.

How did people get on with their Music Magpie trade ins? My MacBook was revised from £330 to £60 because of “screen damage” and “not powering on” - neither of which were the case when I sent it in.

At £60 I may as well keep it, so having it sent back. Who knows what condition it will arrive in. I am regretting photographing it prior to shipping and will certainly be checking the serial number!

16”/SG/M1 Max/64GB/4TB

9-16 November, no movement at all, not even a card charge :(
interesting as I think that was also one of the 'stock' congifurations available to buy from store? (could be wrong!)

maybe if so, they have a whole load of that config which will replenish stock and maybe yours will be treated differently and ship from in the uk.. i.e. DPD or DHL...

( that theory could to total BS too!)

that's not good!

I have traded a Mac once before and not had an issue with MM.

my most recent trade in with with Apple and again no probs there!

hopefully they've not broken yours!

I had pretty much the exact opposite experience with MM trading in my
Iphone. Sent it to some other company - Gecko maybe? - who said it was ‘covered in scratches’ and more than halved the price they quoted. Got it back, sent to to MM who gave full value straight away.

Maybe try somewhere else in case you just got a rogue handler?

I tried to trade in an iMac with Music Magpie a few years back, and they said there were scratches on the screen, then I asked them to send the iMac back. They sent me an iMac doesn't match my serial number with scratched screen and a broken keyboard, I made a complain and got my original iMac back....

Afterward, I never trade in anything with them even if they offer better trade in value.
