It seems like a few people on this forum don’t know how to sell to CEX without getting played/scammed.

A few years back I sold my immaculate 12” MacBook to them, I took it to the shop and asked how much would I get for it, after 2 minutes of visual inspection, it was rated as grade “A” by them. I got a quote and I was asked if I was happy to proceed and leave the MacBook with them for 1-2 hours for further tests(battery, webcam, speakers etc). I was fine with that, then they printed out the receipt with the quote on it(grade A)and a disclaimer I was happy to leave the MacBook with them for further inspection! I signed that and left.

Couple hours later I walked out with the quoted price.

As bad as CEX is with their ridiculous high prices, there is no way they would deliberately damage a product as they want to sell it to the next punter for as much as possible.
I’ve sold to CEX both online and in store multiple times with no problems. My issue was with Music Magpie. Also you shouldn’t have to feel like you have to play the system to not get scammed, Music Magpie shouldn’t have damaged my switch in the first place.

I'm 9th - 16th November and still not preparing to dispatch... Getting a little anxious because I won't be at the address I've order to for a few weeks from the evening of the 14th! So would preferably like it to arrive before Friday, if possible (dunno how likely that is now considering I'm still processing?)

Same boat they seem to be staying very quiet. Maybe try and give Apple a ring to pry any information off them. Worst case scenario you might just have to re-route the courier once it does finally ship.

Tempted to attempt to change the delivery address on the order to the property I'll be at from next Monday, because I doubt I can reroute 150 miles away! Maybe if I've got no shipping info by Thurs, I'll try and change the address...

so none of the 9-16th have moved from processing but ones for 19-26th have?!

maybe they'll ship from the UK directly? can imagine the stores due a restock given none have been available for a week. Maybe a whole load of them coming into the UK together and then distributed out via syncreon

Costco now taking pre-orders. Base 14” model for example, £150 off.

Available from 26th October.

Not bad.

For full range, see here:

I'm sorry to learn about all the problems folk are having, especially since my experience has been so positive.

My off-the-shelf 16" M1max from Costco arrived on the first day it was allowed to do so, enabling me to cancel the one I had hastily ordered from the Apple Store on the evening of the launch - and which had a retreating delivery date. I've also now replace the battery (with the bonus of a new keyboard) on my trusty mid-2015 15" MBP and am about to factory reset to pass on to my daughter.

I'm not generally a FOMA, but this time it paid off, first to jump early-ish onto the Apple Store and then to benefit from the heads-up given on this forum about availability at Costco, which I'd never used before.

Very many thanks @CD3660

This was my theory too. Especially since of all of them seem to be in roughly the same category. Fingers crossed we'll all get the old 7pm dispatch notification.

Same here, probably where possible they are bunching them up, maybe they are popular BTO configs

If it leaves China today you have a decent chance of getting it on Friday. IF.

Be aware though that DHL tracking is likely to disappear into a black hole now until it’s virtually on your doorstep.
Thanks... yeah just read some of the DHL stories, although I've not had any issues when they delivered my iPhone a couple of month back.

Just got the shipping confirmation email from Apple. Delivery is expected Tuesday 16/11 :( Was hoping to have it with me over the weekend.

It’s a pity that it won’t make it for the weekend but it’s definitely worth the wait. You’ll love it!
