Which Model are you getting?

Fingers crossed Syncreon got a big old delivery of Maxes last night.
Would they supply the likes of Amazon too?

Seems to have been no Max availability since launch day for anyone!

I used a back in stock alert site and had an alert of Amazon stock however nothing when I went on there. Considering I’ve actually placed an order I suspect there’s an error with the check as I’ve had no update on it yet

I’d imagine Amazon stock which would be a larger order is shipped to Syncreon then on to Amazon fulfilment? When I ordered my AirPods Max from them they seemed to be a couple of days behind Apple retail.

Apple has fantastic customer service sometimes. I got an email asking me to go back to the store- I hesitated between the two colours and went for silver.

The space grey unit's serial was on my Apple id so I had to get in (and I thought it was the Max I returned a few days ago);

It turned out it was just the same spec but in a different colour so the manager of the store promised to reserve one for me when back in stock and add a free magic mouse as a goodwill gesture.

They also urged me to get a temporary Mac until the new one comes in.

Kinda awesome.

Honestly that's standard for DHL shipments from China. They 'disappear' until just before they are delivered. Rest assured that they are making their way to the UK.

Nope, but I've heard what CD3660 said from others so I'm not too concerned. Hoping for some movement tomorrow though if it's really going to deliver on Friday.

Thanks. I guess the "last mile" is the most difficult part haha.

Nothing on my side. Tried contacting Apple same old messaging that it'll be delivered in the window. Hoping we'll see something in the next couple of days especially since it seems that the Apple Stores have restocked. Might just be a bit of stock allocation going on behind the scenes.

Keeping fingers crossed! I’ve been so long without a computer now, relying on my iPhone and iPad is driving me a bit crazy 😂

Does anyone know if I went to a store to return my MacBook for a different model would I need to get the return refunded then buy the new one or would they let me make up the difference?

For example if I had a card with 5k on it. I wanted the max instead of the mid tier pro so would I have to wait for that to be refunded and then rebuy it?

If that makes sense??

Apple would make two completely separate transactions unfortunately. They would not allow you just to pay the difference.

First of all they would take back the return and refund your payment card. From my recent experience (last week) the money would show as credited to your account within 2 to 3 days.

Secondly they would sell you the laptop that you want to buy and charge you the full amount there and then.

You can also get them to refund it to a gift card so you can then use it again without the faff of waiting for the refund on the card. They have a limit of £2000 per card so when I returned MacBook #2 last week they split it over 2 cards!

Ah, didn’t know about the gift card route: Interesting. That presumably is a way of swapping your laptop without any delay waiting for the refund to hit your account. Excellent!
