UK - Anyone's Macbook Shipped Yet?

mine is still not updated, still not received carrier tracking id, so i can see where it is. But i called Apple on friday, and they said its in china and going to holland later on for my ipod.

GRRR

How long does the shippment take from china to holland??

Keep tracking it with the UPS shipment tracking number.

i have not received any carrier tracking no, i can only track shippment from apple's site. Where it says:

Current Delivery Status In transit to destination country - next updates expected in 4-5 business days 24 Oct 2008

How can he track it if he has received no carrier id?

This is starting to really annoy me, Wednesday or Thursday are not good enough really.

Well it wouldn't be so bad if i could see where the computer was and had a believable and updated tracker. Next time i won't take the free iPod.

i totally agree with u, i should have only ordered the MB, thats the most important thing for me.

Where do you live btw??

Birmingham, UK. I ordered it on the 14th shipped on the 21st though so i hoped mine would be one of the first but it seems the iPod changes that.

I don't really know what difference these Apple status' make. I'll probably call Apple tomorrow and try to get some information from them.
 
I have the 27th and the 30th
Estimated delivery date is 30th
And the 27th under "In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule" (current delivery status)
Although i cant get a tracking from UPS or fedex (my best guesses for carriers to my house)

Mines the same as yours, says 27th and 30th. I had my hopes up for Monday to be honest but now i'm not so sure.

You'd think being as we purchased more products from Apple that we'd actually get a superior tracking ability but we have none at all!

They took the money from my account the day i bought it although it didn't show up on my statement till Friday gone.

Well my laptop is indeed windows, we do have 2 iMac's (aluminium) in the house as well though so its just this laptop that needs replacing.

Having a macbook will complete my needs! You understand why i dont want to wait though.

Me too!! my warranty started on the date of invoice. It's only going to be a week or so short of when I have the machine but it is a bit cheeky. With regard to then taking money from you account did you pay by credit card - I am thinking not.

I am still waiting for a tracking no. for mine. It said it has shipped on the 24th but yet no tracking no!!

The wait is killing me LOL

Edited to say mine is a mbp but the warranty issue still stands.

Yes I paid by credit card - I checked online a couple of days ago.

I took that to mean the status changed to "in transit" on the 27th, and it's expected to be delivered on the 30th?

Edit: that obviously doesn't make sense as it's still the 26th today. Doh!

Another edit: For a company that normal excels at making things simple, you would have though Apple could have better tracking information presented in a more understandable format. This is just rubbish! It must create a lot of confusion, and generate more calls to the Apple Store with people trying to understand when their order is going to arrive.

It would be helpful if somebody who has this status on the Apple site, but also has only one item (macbook) in their order so can track the shipment (UPS) and tell us if UPS are still predicting tomorrow (monday 27th) as the delivery estimate.

I have the 27th and 30th status and although i want to believe it will come tomorrow, i dont want to get my hopes up really.

i seem to be further than you i was charged on the 15th and i got my email on thu or friday.... i hope for tue delivery as im off work then 😀

this is my assumption - UPS delivery is for macbook alone.. no extra's? which is probably why they are quicker as there's no need for a "merge in transit" thingy...

i want to believe it too 🙂

one thing for sure is... we can bitch all we want right now and think how crappy everything is.. BUT, once your macbooks arrive you'll forget this thread ever existed!! lol...
