My 44mm SG AL with milanese loop has moved from processing to 'preparing to ship' overnight. They have also charged my card.
Still estimating 23rd - 25th for delivery. Any chance I might get it on the 20th do you reckon?

Looking to get a titanium series 5. Showing as not available for pick up. Is this because it hasn’t been released or because there’s no stock scheduled to be in store next week? Anyone have any experience with store pick up on launch day? Is there likely to be stock do you think?

I've got a titanium for pickup on launch day but they sold out in a couple of hours, and were only available in Covent Garden and Regent Street in the first place.

That said, I would expect the first delivered orders to be arriving on launch day despite saying 23rd September onwards, because so many are already preparing for shipment.

That’s useful to know. Thanks!

I need to stop thinking about the edition models.... going to end up costing me a lot of money :D

wonder if they make anymore effort in the packaging etc or is it all just the long rectangular box now?

I know what you mean. I started by ordering a Nike aluminium then changed to a SS then to the titanium version. Mind you I am determined to make it last a few years.
As far as the packaging is concerned, I had s SS series 0 and it came in a square hard box, don’t know if it is still the same.

Agreed I had a s0 aluminium then got a very cheap S2 Nike aluminium on a whim but sold it as not enough of an upgrade.
My S0 served me very well until the S3 when I decided to treat myself to the SS Milanese loop and it does feel a bit more special to me than the aluminium one did Don’t intend on the watches being a yearly upgrade, maybe two yearly or three yearly depending on the features they offer..

that said the Milanese loop did my head in once it got a bit dirty and kept undoing.. so bought a red sport band.

Buying my first Apple Watch now because of the always on screen.

Appears the space grey 40mm aluminium is in stock to deliver on Friday.

I really do like the stainless steel but I’m not sure I can justify the additional £300 for it though.

If you are going to keep it for 2/3 years get a Aluminium if you want to keep it for far longer get an SS.

Highly unlikely I will keep the watch beyond 3 years.

Is Apple Care + a must for the watch? Anyone experienced using this service and if so is it worth it?

Never used it on a watch, but have used it a couple of times on MacBooks and saved a fortune in repairs.
Just ordered a Titanium series 5. I did not realise at the time that AppleCare is over twice the cost of the Aluminium and SS watch’s. Oh well, I will probably still buy it later.

To be honest I don’t subscribe to the you have to keep it for x time. It’s your money and you spend it as you please.

I wanted a watch that felt a bit more special (to me) than the aluminium. So I bought the SS version

I also buy AppleCare as I work in construction industry although not so much on the tools anymore. That said I’ve never smashed a watch but with the cost of them to me it’s worth having. Although the £100 increase for titanium is too much to swallow for me
