I posted this in the UK iPhone thread but I thought I would post it here too. So I’ve been wearing long sleeve shirts to work this week for the first time since last winter. I imagine the experience may be different for others depending on what style of shirts they wear. For me so far wearing the Apple Watch Ultra under my sleeve hasn’t been a problem. I do have to button my sleeve on the first rather than the second button but that’s fine.
Same here. I’m a hybrid worker and had my days on site Tuesday & Wednesday this week. I wore long sleeved shirts and had absolutely no issues wearing the watch underneath 👍🏻

FYI: I had ordered the Apple Watch Ultra on September 9th, Black/Grey Trail Loop M/L size, from Apple Store, and the ETA for delivery was October 20-27.

On Monday this week, I was taken by a surprise when the status changed to Preparing to Ship and my card was charged. It was shipped out yesterday via DHL Express and arrived today here in Sweden.

Love these positive surprises! But I wonder why there are not more reports of people getting theirs early.

I managed to pick up the blue trail loop ultra at Edinburgh today. Saw they had stock at lunchtime, so ordered for collection and cancelled my orange alpine banded order (which I was going to do anyway as changed my mind on bands).

Quite nice so far. The trail loop is very comfortable. I will likely keep due to better battery and titanium cos I like both these things.

There now seems to be availability of the Ultra with the Grey/Blue and the Yellow/Beige Trails bands for Pickup in many of the London area stores including Brent Cross, Covent Garden, Watford and Milton Keynes. So for those of you with long eta’s you maybe able to get one much sooner if your quick.

I have the black/grey Trail on order. So tempted to cancel and pick up the blue/grey in store where I live.

I got the alpine loop one, and will order the black trail loop later on discount. Best of both worlds...

. . . . is anyone having buyers remorse yet?

Ok (hands up) I am 😱

I still have my Series 4 packed in it's box and it's served me extremely well, and I'm just thinking £849.....849...

Plenty of time still to ponder my thoughts :)
I'm still wearing my series 4 SS. It cost me £749 back then, so I'm thinking £849 isn't too bad in comparison lol

It arrived yay, really like it the. It is surprisingly light considering the size that’s where the titanium comes in.

So glad I didn’t collect one on release day and waited for the band I wanted very comfortable.
I've got this one on order (only ordered 2 days ago). The grey/blue is available in-store and have been tempted, but you just swayed me to stick with the black/grey.

I wonder if the stand alone trail loop dates might start coming in a bit now if they’re in stock with the watches?
I’ve found swimming wise the Nike silicon sport band feels the best to keep it tight but comfy for enough HR data. I’ve got a leather link coming, I may just stick with the Nike Velcro band for workouts for now.

How many of you are planning on getting Apple Care for your AWU? Never had it myself but almost considering it for the AWU
I’ve had mine a week and I caved last night and ordered AppleCare. I’ve never had AppleCare on any of my devices but I do a lot of watersports so using my watch in the ocean, it may get bashed on the rocks and reefs

My thoughts are being swayed in that direction - although my bank provides quite good cover for multiple items, although with a watch I just want a quick replacement. My AW7 started to rattle after 3 months and rather than replace it immediately they sent it away (athough they knew I'm sure you couldn't fix it) and it took 7 days to get a replacement. Luckily I had my AW3 to fall back on.

Waiting for the Nomad Titanium band, ordered the Apple link bracelet. Think it looks really good.
I'd be scared ******** to use that, I so often rest my hand on the laptop, wouldn't it scratch the aluminum MBP?

But looks really cool. Congrats!

I went to exchange the small Alpine Loop I got with my Ultra by mistake to swap it out for a medium one yesterday at the Apple Store. They said they couldn’t do it as unlike with the Series 8 the watch and band are two separate products on the system with the Ultra they are one product. They said I would have to swap out the whole watch which I wasn’t keen on doing.

As they had none in stock I would have to wait until there is. They did say I had up to 28 days from delivery even though their normal policy is 14 days. The sales assistant happened to mention they did have the watch with the blue/grey Trail Loop in stock. I decided that although I prefer the black/grey one I would just exchange the watch there and then for that.

I have a black/grey band on order right now. They returned the watch on gift cards and then used the gift cards to pay for the new watch. That way I don’t have to have a pending refund on my bank account. I much prefer the Trail Loop to the Alpine.

Well I've only had it a couple of hours so I'm not 100% sure yet. I do have a rather large wrist rest which bridges the the aluminium part of the MBP.

I won't be using it full time, only when I need to dress up a bit.
