Ah! Here’s the thread I’ve been looking for. Hello everyone.
Apple just tried to take payment (or pre-auth my card again) but Monzo refused!
Quick change to a new card and it seems all good again. Just thought I’d let people know to check their status, especially if you ordered via Monzo.

I did a fast order for the Ultra to guarantee 23rd delivery with the medium band. Then a separate order for a large band which I can return unopened if medium is fine.
I wear size 7-8 old style.
Switched from midnight ocean band to white to bump the delivery date up a bit (now 6th - 11th Oct). My plan is to try for an Apple in store pickup or JL.
My Monzo account was charged for my AirPods Pro 2 order last night as well - looks like apple are lining things up. Currys have charged my account for my AWU, but Amazon haven't done anything on my AWU order with them.
Anyone ordered from o2. They are still saying out of stock and could take a month or two. Ordered on the 9th.
Ordered mine from O2 on the 8th and it turned up yesterday at 8:37am.

Just had an e-Mail from Currys confirming my 5 months free Apple Music/Arcade. Hoping this means they will deliver my Ultra on Friday as payment has also been taken👍

I currently have a S6 and usually upgrade every 2 years with Vodafone. Not sure I can be bothered this year, is it worth it do you think?

Ordered but cancelled the Ultra. I'm getting the S8 instead. Upgrade from my current S5. I also ordered the Elderberry sport band. I call that color Plum Crazy, after the Mopar color in the 1970s. It will match the purple Apple leather case on my iPhone.
Also have a Series 6 - haven’t pulled the trigger on anything yet, I think I will keep my current watch although its battery health is down to 78% and it’s struggling to last the day
Paying money to replace the battery doesn’t appeal massively, but it may be the more sensible route. Disappointed in the lack of updates with the S8, and think the Ultra would be too big for me, although may try it on in a shop once it’s released.Been away on holiday and collected my 8 from the Apple Store in Liverpool last Friday.
Seems like a good upgrade from a 4, I like the always on function.
One issue I’m having is slow charging, I have 2 cables and 2 20W chargers and neither seem to be working well.

I upgraded from a S6 to a S8. The larger screen area is noticeable, and faster USB-C charging will be helpful when topping up for sleep tracking. One strange issue is that the Sport Band which came with it is defective, the lower half doesn't "lock" into the watch body and just keeps sliding sideways. It looks OK visually, the latch seems the right height on both sides and it springs in and out as normal, but have done troubleshooting and it's definitely this band (it doesn't lock onto other Watch bodies either, and other straps lock fine on the new Watch). Bought directly from Apple so I'll book an appointment in a Store to exchange it
