I'm not seeing any available for collection, either. 3x stores within 20 minutes and many more within an hour's drive. Nothing.
I wonder if it's related to the stores requiring reservations this weekend and prioritising iPhones over watches?

While my pickup isn’t due till tomorrow it’s showing on the order status it’s ready for pickup would I be able to collect it today? Or is it worth calling apple and asking?
I'd call if I were you. What is the worst that can happen? They'll either say yes or no. Worth it for a couple of pence on the phone call.
Not sure if you can as there are no walkins over the weekend. I miss the pre-order window due to the phone number debacle but fortunately I was able to reserve a phone from my local store first thing this morning and pick it up tomorrow. No movement on my AWU
I picked an AW8 (and an iPhone 14 Pro) in Cambridge store this morning.
A bit disappointing that there was not a AW Ultra on display in the store.

I have an option for £8 courier delivery from my local apple store within 2hrs which is very tempting. When I went to checkout, it must have re-calculated distance to store, as the option went. But I could get it delivered to my office which is half-way between me and the apple store, but then it just seems a bit complicated...
Apologies, I edited above, there was NOT a AW Ultra in store, which was dissapointing.

Me too, I’ve ordered the Alpine Medium which Amazon say will be delivered either 23rd or 24th of next week. I’m also 18cm

Had the Apple Pay charge just go through and the status changed to Preparing to Ship. This is for an Ultra with Green Alpine Loop.
I've just had an email from Currys finance saying when my buy now, pay in 6 months interest free deal dates are, so cautiously optimistic I have an actual AWU with my name on it for next Friday
Also just had the charge come through - Ultra & extra strap both now saying "Preparing to Ship" (& "Arrives Fri 23 Sep").
SS S8 Graphite arrived today DPD who were as good as ever.
Nice improvement over the S5 and so far it seems WAY better on battery life compared to my ageing watch (Was down to 82%), so a great update for me even without the bucket of extra features everyone wants.

Yeah I just checked mine for the first time since last night and it’s changed to preparing to ship
