Isn't that what Steve said? Why is this news when it's been announced by Apple, already?

It's not been announced. They pushed the expected date back but didn't specify it like this. Please don't jump to conclusions and slate an article before doing your research.

Also I recall going to my local Orange shop on launch day with my friend so he could order one as they said he'd receive it in two days. They said this to many people and it turned out to be weeks so I wouldn't really trust Orange on this.
