UK & EU 27 inch Delivery Thread

Mine is still sat in Germany too. Hope it arrives all well and good on Tuesday.. So excited

Mine says it is for delivery 17th (tomorrow) and still on time, but it is still in Germany according to UPS tracking. I'm taking the day off work, so do people reckon it will be here tomorrow?

Mine is the same, and I'm starting to doubt whether it'll move on a Sunday at all. It still says on time for delivery tomorrow, and I'd prefer if it was tomorrow rather than Tuesday due to work commitments. It's been in Koeln for too long, don't get it really...

Mine hasn't moved since the import scan at Köln at 1am on Saturday, however is still showing 'delivery by Tuesday end of day.'

If other people's experiences are anything to go by it seems the units just turn up in the UK without having going through exit scan from Köln. Maybe they are being shipped by road at the moment.

Well I'm unsure if the woman at Apple got it wrong and actually she meant 20 - 27 January but I'm going to call again later see if I can speak to someone else.

Might use that against them.

I ordered the same spec on the 8 Dec and mine still says January still processing as i expected

Just a few pointers, if you ordered anything else with your mac such as AppleCare it will go to the Hinckley (Leicester) hub to merge with the other items.

For those using expeditors to track your macs, when it is says estimated delivery date that the hand over from cargo to Apple again in the Uk..

Why can't they just ship the extra items seperate instead of repacking them with the imac... -_-

Mine is still processing, but I wonder, if it is because of SuperDrive I've ordered with it and it is merging in transport in Praha. Maybe I should deleate it from my order and order it separately. May it cause delay in my order?

I imagine you will be out to the back of the queue, and delivery would be 'January'

I have asked the same thing, maybe to cut down on shipping charges. You will see merge in transit if your items will go via a hub

I've been tracking it as UPS21 since it left Dubai (FlightRadar gives the flight details as 'Shangai to Cologne via Dubai'). Although it does have a disconcerting habit of disappearing off their radar for a few minutes at a time. ^_^; Currently over the Black Sea, with UPS3 some distance ahead of it.

Mines just a base one too, I don't have an immediate 'need' for one, but I brought a DSLR back in the summer and Photoshop is ridiculously slow on my 2006 Macbook (as expected as its so outdated) so still a huge upgrade for me!

I don't know why mine changed so quickly and not yours. Maybe Apple thought it could console me after it delayed my initial order by mistake.

Ok mine was ordered 2 days later. I am just getting excited that some are on the way to Manchester! (Although mine is coming through a 3rd party in Leeds).

There are several planes heading in from Dubai, but think UPS21 is the most likely as it originated in Shanghai. As maehara points out, it keeps disappearing off the tracker

I'd check with Apple, not sure if you can add Fusion later, best case is someone needs to unstick the LCD to get inside your new iMac.

Yes you do need to remove the tape that holds the screen and put tape again when you close the computer. I will look into it when the parts can be bought easily and there are instructions how to do it. I am in no hurry, my current computer has no SSD so I can live without Fusion drive.

Shipped Wed 12th 15.51, Delivery 20th

So I reckon 18th or 19th depending how long it takes UPS to get from Heathrow to Hinckley for the Applecare Merge. Won't be long now with a bit of luck!
