I won't be too excited until I unpack mine and it's in mint condition. In late 2010 I had to return my iMac three times before I received one that didn't have dead pixels, a yellow screen or grey spots on the screen. I'm really hoping I'll be spared of all that this time around.
 
Guys, just a quick question: My status says "Ships in 3-4 Weeks, estimated delivery 04.01 - 10.10". Ordered on 30.11....doesn´t the Ship in-timer update?

Mine never updated. It simply went from Processing to Preparing for Shipping after a number of days.
 
Well ordered mine on 13th Dec, and I still have the famous "January" delivery. :( I just want a better approx date. Just so I know when.

I keep kicking myself as I um'ed and arr'ed about it for 4 days on which config I wanted and the day before it went from "3-4 weeks" to "January". Never Mind.

Same here , ordered 30th, paid 30 th, moved from preparing on the 24th back to processing. :mad::(
Checking the status 4 times a day every time i get a little more frustrated. Seeing people who ordered the same config later but already got shipment notices or even better received it. ( I'm happy for them :))
Apple dropped the ball thats what's clear to me. I would have been nice if Apple had put a little more effort in the logistics here, instead of doing all these patent cases in court !:D
 
My iMac is "preparing for shipment" since 5 days.
How long does it take to ship it to germany? The delivery date is 3rd - 9th Jan.
And why do they need over 5 days to prepare the package?

Hope for your sake that it won't switcht back to processing as with mine and many others who got preparing for shipment for 4-5 days and then got switched back again to processing. They don't need 5 days in my opinion, it's just one big mess. Don't know who's running things in China or who's responsible, but for me they can kick his ass...

This waiting is driving me nuts. I have never had to wait this long for a machine from apple. This release was a shambles. Basically if I get this by the 10th (I ordered on the 4th, confirmed on the 5th) I have waited five weeks for a new computer. I've been waiting long enough since the announcement... At least with a crappy dell I would get next day delivery!

My order to Amsterdam has gone back from Preparing for Shipment (which it said on Xmas Day), to Processing order??? Still delivery 31st Dec to Jan 7th????

So 4 days. It even moved on Christmas day, guess they don't celebrate Christmas :p

Ah cool. Mine's just left China so should be with me on Wednesday/Thursday next week. :)
 
Scheduled delivery changed from 8th to 2nd Jan too. :) I guess I can do some nice home clean ups during new years day.

Btw there is something very interesting with my TNT tracking number, it showed a previous shipment from Shanghai to Germany in the beginning of December. Maybe that's a 21.5" delivery...

Same here. I contacted apple in the uk and they told me they still expect my imac to be delivered by jan 7th. Let's see...
 
Similar issue with me, said due 2-3rd jan , earlier in the week status changed to preparing for shipment but then reverted to processing order.
It's now Sunday , 30th and its only just changed to preparing , I'll be surprised if it gets here by the 3rd.

I ordered 30th November , 8.50am so I would of expected it to be here already.
 
Had my machine 2 days now, already sending it back :(
From the moment i turned it on, i already spotted a cluster of dead pixels, phoned apple and they will get another out to me, BUT will let me keep this one till it arrives!

What great Service!
 
Does anyone know why it's taking so long to update tracking on UPS. It last departed from Koeln, Germany but hasn't changed for nearly 2 days??
