For those interested I ordered an 11" with 8gb and 256gig and a 2.0 i7 on 13th June and it was shipped on the 16th but so far it doesn't tell me who it's ultimately being delivered by (I assume UPS) and the current numbers on the shipping status do not work with UPS (but again, I only assume it's with them).

Estimated delivery has always been on or before 25th.

according to expo.expeditors, my MBA left shanghai 10AM SGT and will be landing in heathrow at 9pm GMT. Surely I should get mine within the next 2 days??

My MBA shipped today. Any idea when its likely to realistically arrive? Only reason i ask is ETA is monday and i go away for a week that day so I'm hoping its before!

It just arrived ;) [11.6" 2GHz i7, 8GB, 128GB SSD]

hmm mine did not yet, sprinted home after I read your post and am now waiting for the UPS-man to arrive ;)

did the tracking information change between köln and aachen for you? mine still says its in köln since yesterday 17:18... and my estimated shipping date is still on the 20th. but if you got yours, I see no reason why mine should take so much longer, I only ordered the macbook... -.-

Nope...the last shipping log entry was the Arrival scan in Cologne. But well...the UPS tracking page said On-Time and that the delivery was scheduled for today.

Mine also still says it arrived in Köln yesterday 17:18 and my estimated shipping date is also the 20th.
I'm hoping to get it tomorrow, but today would be even better of course :)

Was this a "standard" MBA or did you upgrade the RAM, SSD, etc?

The shipping info on exp.o says the containers are ready for delivery. But with a requested delivery date of the 19th, So I presume it will be merged tomorrow and then I will see it here in London on Wednesday... Even though I could almost walk to pick it up from the airport...

My exp.o info still says not cleared for import.

We're in the same boat. I'm getting worried because the requested delivery date is tomorrow but Apple haven't given us any tracking information still. WHY

I really don't think this "delivery" from exp.o website is "our delivery". IMHO it's just the merging that will be completed and so they are going to deliver "the package" for UPS or other carrier... at Apple website it's stated clearly that we are going to receive a tracking number AT LEAST 48h before delivery! So maybe we're getting this tracking info tomorrow afternoon :roll eyes:

Expected delivery at Thursday or Friday!

Yes I agree - the delivery referred to is to Apple.
Really annoying that those who purchased the same time as us in the US have their machines.

And me. I assume that when they say delivery, they mean to somewhere where the order will be processed and not to ones door. My order needs merging, if it hasn't already, so I guess it goes off somewhere to be merged and then given to a courier (UPS?) who will actually deliver it. My estimated delivery data is the 22nd, but before it was shipped it was 20-22 so I'm hoping it might be a bit earlier than stated.

Seems to be a lot of waiting around.

Yep. The requested delivery is for the shipment to be cleared and picked up by Apple.

The silver lining is that the requested delivery is 00:00am. So it's really down to how quickly Apple can merge the items before being shipped out.

Optimistically, the items to be merged should be at the carrier, so it should be fairly quick.

So all this is down to how quickly this can be turned over. A super optimistic guess is they will work over night and you get the delivery tomorrow.

A reasonable guess is you'll get this on Wednesday.

Note I'm just taking a stab at this, I'm not a supply chain expert ha ha.

Mine has just changed from exp.o website. It was saying Not cleared for import and now it comes Ready for Delivery.

And I've noticed an extra line in the "Events" tab:
18-Jun-2012 16:55:00 CEST Import Customs Release AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS (AMS)

So I think now it's OK to be delivered to Apple, merged and delivered to me :)

I work in shipping in the UK and unfortunately when something is waiting for import clearance with Korean Airlines... it can take days. I'm disappointed with Apple, I would have expected them to use more reputable carriers. From my work experience, Korean Airlines Cargo are awfully slow. They've left some of our goods lying around for days before sorting them out. My company avoids them at all costs, we normally book our pallets with Jet Airways via Delhi.

Fingers crossed for receiving my MBA before the end of the week...
