It's terrible they took the money from us right away. I don't think we shall get them before the 19th either.

They should be giving us some money back or a discount of some kind.

I think they said the 19th as that is what date was on the website, I strongly doubt apple would tell them of a delay because then everyone answering the phones would give us the same story.

I reckon they expected the delivery and never got it and don't know when they'll receive some.

But then again the guy called "Kaz" has been helpful and for him to say "yeah I've looked into it and it won't be any later than tuesday" does give me hope.

Big deliveries seem to be arriving on Fridays (have done the past two weeks), so hopefully it will be posted tomorrow and delivered Tuesday.

It might be worth asking someone if they've actually had some and sent some out to be delivered. If they say no then they have taken our money without there being any stock.
 
What happened to the stock that they were supposed to have had on Monday or was that a little fib?

Is it legal to take payment in full knowledge that you have no stock?

Websites like Amazon take no payment until they have established they have stock and are about to dispatch the item in question.

I'm not even sure if it's legal as there was a lot if discussion about PC World taking money before they had stock...
 
Well I see you can no longer order via the site. So they must have taken too many orders and not actually have had the stock.

I've still not been able to get a proper update as to the state of my order. Unlike Brad, I just get told no one on the twitter team or the Admins on the blog can't help as I don't have an order number to give them.

They really should only have taken the money if the iPad was available to send out straight away. I am beginning to think the stock they 'had' on Monday was a total lie.

Did you not get an email when you ordered? that's where my order number is.
 
Your order reference number should also be on the email apologising for the 'slight' delay in delivery.

What do three consider to be a 'slight' delay?
 
That doesn't sound good. I've had three, two on the day of purchase and one yesterday apologising for the delay.

Probably a stupid question but have you checked your spam folder. If you haven't received any emails then you really ought to contact Three by phone, especially if you have had money removed from your account. They must be able to find you by name and address, surely?

I'd consider a slight delay as "we have no stock but expect it soon". Sigh.

I agree, Steve you ought to get an order number when the person on the phone looks up your order. Delivery man popped by when I went home for lunch, thought it was iPad. But nope, something for my brother :(

Nope nothing, no emails in spam folder either. Called again earlier and they still couldn't give me an update. My order is on the system and when I call they are able to find it so not sure why there have been no emails.

I did ask for my order number but all he gave me was some really long ref. What should the order ref start with?

Could possibly be because I am an existing customer with them.

Could be because you're already an existing customer.. Mines also 8 digits beginning with 3.

As ling as they can find you on the system and can confirm your name (to make sure they're not just saying made up nonsense to iPad customers) then you should be fine.
 
an update for you, someone from customer service in the overseas call centre just called me back to tell me I should be getting the iPad 2 delivered on Wednesday.

I hope for sure that it does actually happen. She informed me that the warehouse just recieved some stock and mine would be sent out. I should have the delivery consignment number by tueday.

Great news, also backs up me being told Tuesday. Hopefully they'll be posted by Monday and we should have confirmation of delivery emails! Thanks for the update mate.
 
Kaz, the moderator at the three blog, has informed me that my delivery has been moved to Tuesday.

Hope you both get yours as promised next week!

Yeah me too! Good luck :) I'll keep the thread updated so we know what's going on. Some online stores got up to 400 units of certain models today so reckon a lot of places have had deliveries...
 
Just thought I'd ask if anyone has heard any more from Three? Still haven't received an email regarding dispatch. Someone on the 3 blog said he rang CS and threatened to leave 3 and they sent him his iPad 2 which wasn't due to arrive until this week, lol.

Was tempted to ask the guys on the blog to check the status of my order, as it should say "out for delivery" if it really is due to arrive tomorrow. Still not holding my breath.

On the plus side ,there were a few more people who were expecting their deliveries last week, all of which have been told they will receive their iPad 2 either tomorrow or Wednesday.

Just called up CS again to see if they could give me a consignment number yet as mine is meant to be delivered on Wednesday. The guy just kept repeating himself stating it would be 3-5 days after I placed the order and I would get an text on the day of delivery. No matter how many times I told him I was called on Friday and Saturday by two different people confirming that my delivery would be Wednesday.

So I am now getting a feeling that I will not be getting it on Wednesday, I've had to take a day off work as well so will be really annoyed if it doesn't come.
 
I have now taken the day off work too. I will be more than seriously displeased if it is not delivered as promised. Why should it be so difficult to get this right? It's either going to be delivered on a certain day or it's not!

I am in the same predicament as all of you. I have been seriously disappointed with their lack of communication.

I was told the 19th although I haven't phoned back to see if there has been any update.
And yes they took my money too.

Please everyone keep us informed of whether you get any promises or, dare I day it, despatch notifications!
 
Its gone well beyond a joke now and their CS seem to be totally useless.

I've gotten through to the UK call centre that is based in Glasgow, but apparently they can't look at my details as am an existing customer and I just get passed back to India again and they just can't help :mad:
 
The only reason why I don't have a phone tariff with 3 is due to the bad reputation of the CS. I only went with three for the iPad as I didn't expect to have to get in contact with CS too often. That didn't go so great did it?

I'll drop a message off on their blog now and see what they say back.

We definitely need to look up if it's legal to charge the customer before allocating stock to them. Stock clearly wasn't allocated to us when we ordered otherwise it would have already been posted.

I've also booked the day off work tomorrow, not gonna be happy if it doesn't arrive!
