Tesco/yodel have 'lost' my click and collect order that I was meant to have received yesterday. And they have no more in stock to sent out. Although fare on tesco they have gave me a full refund + £15.

:-/ Yodel "lost" something for me before, but it turned up a few days later. Here's hoping for you.

My iPad is due tomorrow but the tracking number they gave me for Yodel doesn't seem to be working.

The number of times Yodel have lost my online orders is ridiculous, I swear items must go into a lock up and they share them out at the end of the year. Should not be allowed to happen. I'm now at a point where I will not order from a company that uses Yodel, as I know there's a good chance I will not receive what I order

Managed to get a Smart Cover for my Air today, from John Lewis. Went for the blue. Very happy with it - weight is exactly 100g for anyone interested, so it doesn't add too much weight.

They also had some 3rd party full body cases in stock - Targus and Speck - quite smart but they were certainly heavier and would have made it about twice as thick!

Can recommend the Smart Cover if anyone is on the fence. I'll be looking for a very light and thin back cover at some point. Had an Incipio Smart Feather on my iPad 3, which was superb. Out of interest though I weighed my iPad 3 with its Smart Cover and back cover attached, 950g ! So the Air, at 570g with Smart Cover attached, is massively lighter.

I got my smart case from the Apple store on Regent Street today. I've never been there at opening time before but there was quite a large queue 10mins before they opened today.

Anyone found a nice Smart Cover compatible back cover?
Something slim but adds some grip would be nice.

Space grey 32gb + 3G plus red smart case picked up with little wait from Bristol Apple store at Cribbs on Friday afternoon.

14 days to try it out but so far very pleased with it. Not a huge difference to my 2 for what I use it for but get the feeling I will keep it.

Main problem is what to do with the 2. It has been and still is a superb tablet. I can fully understand why Apple are still selling it. May just keep it to avoid the inevitable ebay hassle.

Gumtree is an option, ended up selling my iphone on there, no fees, no postage, cash in hand

So much harder to track iPad Air deliveries this time around.

I purchased the 5s recently and although they were shipped from China you could track them the entire way. UPS were easy to use and you had 1 reference number and a great wee App.

With the iPad Air (purchased from Apple online) there are 2 carriers, TNT & Syncreon. My Apple care protection is coming tomorrow and is being shipped by TNT.

My Air is due Tuesday and is shipped by Syncreon. Syncreon requires the reference number & the Apple order number.

It kind of sucks the fun out of it.

Thanks for the tip. I had heard of Gumtree but thought it was London area only. Didn't realise there is a Bristol Gumtree. Will give it a try if I can't find anyone I know to buy it. Quite happy to sell it to a friend as I know it will not let me down!

I'm thinking of buying an iPad mini with Retina display...

Most likely get the 128GB one, even though I don't need that much space... Just have a habit of getting the highest capacity one haha

Need to buy my ipad air from Regent st tomorrow. (Monday) anyone know if they still have decent stock of the 128s? Thinking in black with 3G

Apart from calling in the morning anyone know?

I've never had any dealings with Syncreon so it's good to hear they aren't a Yodel type outfit.

Syncreon isn't the courier. They are just a logistics company or the middle man so to speak between the retailer in this case Apple and the couriers which are likely to be TNT and UPS in this case. Your package will not be delivered to you by Syncreon but by one of the regular courier companies.

I love how Apple play with your head when it comes to new products and delivery lol.

The iPhone 5s was ordered at 11.58pm and you can track it all the way from China to your front door. But the iPad which they had in huge amounts in most Apple Stores and Resellers and they are almost impossible to track - I almost wish Apple would switch on Find my iPhone (or iPad) when they ship... lol

TNT - Due for delivery Tue 5th Last known location lol errrrr?
