Only ordered mine at like 7:30pm yesterday evening.
Was told devliery today (website also said delivery today) from Very.co.uk.

However I was dubious as when you view their iPad selection, it says next day delivery is only available if ordered before 2pm. As mine was 7:30, I don't expect it to turn up today!

I'm in work, but the Very webiste hasn't updated since it despatched last night, so I don't expect to see anything today. Normally Very tracking updates are very good and they show the item being loaded onto the van the morning of delivery. This hasn't featured on my order page yet so looks like I'll get it tomorrow instead!

It's probably a good thing though, as I'm off tomorrow so will be in to collect! :)

Anyone getting today please post some thoughts!

Mine just arrived, and the box that greeted me had a massive puncture in it.

Didn't want to open it, but work colleagues talked me into it.

Turned out ok, no damage to screen and no colour problems like others are reporting :)

Well I finally have mine. Delivered at 2pm today by TNT.

Have to say that TNT tracking is way worse that it was. Gives you so little information and slow to update.

When you compare it to UPS the website is just rather 1990s.

I received the two iPad Air's that I'd ordered yesterday and they are perfect, no scuffs and the screens on both are perfect, no backlight bleeding or yellowing, or uneven colours.

Mine is out for delivery but I'm at work and nobody is in the house but luckily the depot isn't far from me so I'll drive down there after work if I've missed it and it's going to be back at the depot before 8.

Missed it, Earliest I can pick it up is tomorrow :(

Had a chance to play around with my new iPad Air! Shockingly thin and light, very fast and responsive! A few bugs with iOS 7 that I've noticed but I'm sure they'll be fixed with time. Love this thing!

What capacities did people get? Is 16gb sufficient for anyone anymore?

128GB 4G in White

----------

You're welcome.
You will LOVE it.

The difference in size and weight to my 3 is amazing!

Yup, I'm loving the lightness.

Still getting used to the thin bezel when holding in portrait but also so much easier to just type with thumbs

Hate to say it but mine is going back....I really like it but for commuting and carrying around I can't help but feel the mini will fit my needs more, and I still have my 3rd gen at home for when I need to do 'big screen' things.

This wait for the ipad mini with retina is painful ... The iphone is too small to really enjoy all the apps games YouTube etc .. Please release it already

I ordered 2 ipad airs which went out for delivery today. One was delivered successfully but the other?

Checked UKMail tracking and up until 19.30 was still showing as out for delivery. At 19.33 status changed to attempted delivery at 20.18 (time travel obviously).

Someone has been in all day. No knock at door, and guess what, no failed delivery card left. With no card I can't collect it. Tracking is now saying estimated delivery 6th when no one will be home. Hope they leave a card this time.

Much prefer UPS. Yodel are dismissal and UKMail can deliver 50% of your purchases on time.

yeah i feel your pain .. i think this time i will buy the ipad mini in person .. waiting for delivery all day isn't worth the convenience anymore ..

How quick were Tesco to have the air available to order?

I plan on using the code and a mate's staff discount to get a 16gb retina mini for £259 but not sure how quick they'll have them after announcement/release...

Also, how was their postage?

They were available online from around 9.30 on launch day. Only concern about the mini retina is if they will even have any stock @ launch due to supply constraints.

Ah okay that's great, cheers! Yeah that's the only issue, We'll see I suppose!

Mines just turned up.
Wow. I absolutely love it.

The size, the weight, the feel everything.

I also love the black iPad - think its so much nicer than the white - personal preference of course. :D

Typing on it now - it's amazing. Lovely bright screen, no defects. Also don't really understand this hollow screen thing - it feels fine. I think sometimes people just try and find things to complain about.

My sister was here when it arrived and she has a mini - she couldn't believe how much the air was just like a slightly bigger version and she even said she preferred the form factor over her mini!

Will post some more thoughts and some pics later on!

Just picked mine up from the delivery depot.

It's going straight back, I've got a scratch on the bezel underneath the home button.

Where's the best place with the best batch?

Hi guys,

Just wondering you guys who have trouble free iPad Air. Where did you guys get them from?

I had issue with my first Air (x1 clump of stuck pixels + x1 dust + x1 dust that was refracting light). Not to mention some bleeding and "sticky" rotations where screen sometime did not rotate portrait <-> landscape.

Went to the store yesterday, opened and tried at the store - 2nd one which had a dead pixel and 3rd one which essentially similar to 2nd one.

So I thought either:

(1) I'll try at another store (as they may have better batch?)

OR

(2) Wait a little while until the production batch rotates and hopefully these sort of issues are ironed out (but how long do I wait?)

I am using my iPad as planner/organizer & also to teach radiology interpretations (hence I am being a little anal about having dead or stuck pixels around)

Any advice maybe?

My 32gig wifi space grey arrived (direct order from Apple).

All good and quite an update from my iPad1!

Blimey it's light. And thin. And about 1 inch narrower in width. Same length.
Compared to the ipad1 it's about 200g lighter (and really feels it) and only about as thick as the silver side bezel. But I think they've skimped on the materials a little. It feels a bit less substantial. If you tap the screen and back with your fingernail it sounds a bit cheap, but it's well put together. The retina screen is lovely (no issues with colour or pixels or any of the other little things people seem to have had) and it's a lot quicker. Overall I'm very happy :)

For what it's worth I picked mine up in-store at Curry's in Hemel Hempstead. No screen issues (light bleed, stuck pixels, etc) or other defects and this is a 32GB space gray model. I can totally understand the desire to have a perfect model - you are the one paying a fair amount for the device so it's your decision whether or not to accept stuck pixels, other defects or not.

As far as your use (Ada) I work for a videoconferencing company with the iPad in use for calls about 6 hours every day including telemedicine. The need to have a perfect screen is completely understandable.

I picked up a 16gb white iPad Air from the Covent Garden Apple Store last Friday (luckily was in London on business).

I can't believe how light it is. And my screen is perfect.
