Mines mint (as it should be too) and no problems as far as I can see. Thought there was a dink in it when I first opened box but that turned out to be just glue, sigh of relief 🙂

Loving the weight and the thin bezels. The chamfered edge on the space grey looks stunning against the black and grey. Overall very happy with my purchase

I had issue with my first Air (x1 clump of stuck pixels + x1 dust + x1 dust that was refracting light). Not to mention some bleeding and "sticky" rotations where screen sometime did not rotate portrait <-> landscape.

Went to the store yesterday, opened and tried at the store - 2nd one which had a dead pixel and 3rd one which essentially similar to 2nd one.

So I thought either:

(1) I'll try at another store (as they may have better batch?)

OR

(2) Wait a little while until the production batch rotates and hopefully these sort of issues are ironed out (but how long do I wait?)

I am using my iPad as planner/organizer & also to teach radiology interpretations (hence I am being a little anal about having dead or stuck pixels around)

Any advice maybe?

No matter where you get them from, theres only one supplier.

Sent it back to Tesco's today as was loving using it but knew it was going to mainly be a housebound ipad and I really want to try a mini for commuting/traveling next year.

So now ipadless - roll on November ?th

Are Tescos ok with returns after the item has been opened and used?
 
Take my advice and don't got to the "dodgy screen" threads on here. You'll find an issue if you do. Just be happy with your device.

They were fine

I called customer services first but they just told me to take it to one of the bigger stores, they let me know which was my nearest one and take the original order number and card I paid on.

I'd cleaned it, reset it and properly put it all back in it's original packing and had no issues, think manager had to authorise the return so just told him it was the wrong size as I decided I wanted the mini retina - and they just processed the refund straight back on to my card.
 
One week down, (probably) only 2 more to go before we might be able to order our minis!

Strangely, I only know one person who bought an air across my circle of friends and work colleagues.

Definitely seems like it wasn't as much in demand as previous years.
 
I have a feeling that all the rumours surrounding the supply of the new retina mini is the usual propaganda to either manifest panic buying or increase purchases of the Air.

O.K. so I ordered my iPad, AppleCare + and Smart Cover in the same order on launch day. My book for AppleCare + arrived first with my iPad arriving on Monday. My Smart Cover was supposed to be delivered on Thursday but its now gone past Friday and its still not here.

On a related note the Tech Armor screen protector I ordered from Amazon was supposed to be delivered on Thursday too and still isn't here.

As a result my iPad Air is still in its box unopened waiting for at least the screen protector to arrive which is annoying. I'm still using my iPad 3 as I can't use my iPad Air.
 
I ordered online this morning 20th-22nd delivery but I managed reserve it and get it instore at Bluewater with no problems, was hardly no one in store so not many know about it 🙂

Called Apple.com store who said they will try and cancel my online order but should it ship out just refuse delivery 😀
 
Just ordered my 16gb wifi space grey through currys/pc world, will get £30 cashback plus 1.5% quidco. Would have preferred to order through tesco's but too risky waiting to see if they get any stock, i think these are going to sell out immediately.

Would have ordered it this morning if i had know earlier, just typical that this website is down all day on the most important day of the year.
 
So my Product Red Smart Cover still hasn't been delivered. It was supposed to have been delivered by UK Mail via Syncreon Post with delivery date of the 7th. It was sent out on the 2nd.

I called Apple today and the customer service rep told me you have to wait two working days after the delivery due date before reporting it. As that was yesterday she has put in a replacement order for me free of charge to be sent by courier so it can be tracked. This one is due for delivery by courier on the 14th. I'm happy with the way it has been resolved and hopefully it will be second time lucky.
 
Checked a bunch of stores for the rMini 128GB cellular but not available. Anyone know if it's actually been released or not? There were some 32GB cellular available.
 
Waiting for tesco to post them, they told me this morning that it looks as though apple have an exclusive but I think that's just because there was no announcement...

I asked three and they're getting them Friday so hopefully that's the launch for the rest of the uk stores?
